Your eyes are the mind of every swimmer,

The cause of passion between the souls.

Are they ropes or swaying bodies,

    Or are they bodies swaying?

    Their glances intoxicate those

Who meet them overflowing with drunkenness.

    O you whom souls desire

And the best of ideas occur to,

How coy you are when you show

    An excuse to the romancers.

Do you not shy from shedding my blood,

You who were too shy to shake hands?

And you see the soundness of my exterior

And so think your glance causes no injury.
