  1. O Ahmad al-Badawi—where are you?

    In your lifetime, you attained the two ranks:

  2. the Name and the Essence, without falsehood.

    Your red banners, across the two horizons,

  3. proclaim that you are the spiritual Pole of creation.

    Glory, pride, and radiant splendor are yours;

  4. and among your followers, the standard is yours.

    And you—you are the foremost king.

  5. And it is the wont of kings who rise

    to glory to clothe themselves in red.
