1. بيني وبينك يا قديم جدارُ

    هو جملتي بك حادث يا جارُ

    Between you and me, O ancient one, is a wall

    It is my whole statement about you, O neighbor

  2. والكنز أنت وراء ذلك كله

    والطلسمات العقل والأفكار

    You are the treasure behind all that

    And the talismans, the mind and thoughts

  3. فتحت رياضتنا إليك طريقة

    والشرع باب والحقيقة دار

    Our meditation opened a way to you

    The sacred law a door, the reality a house

  4. وبدا جمالك للعيون وزال عن

    وجه القلوب من الغيوب خمار

    Your beauty appeared to the eyes and was removed from

    The faces of hearts from the unseen a veil

  5. يا طلعة هي للمتيم جنة

    تجري بها من تحتها الأنهار

    O rise! It is for the longing one a paradise

    Under which rivers flow

  6. أنهار أنواع العلوم فما السوى

    إلا الحقائق منك والأسرار

    Rivers of various sciences so nothing but

    The truths from you and secrets

  7. بتنا وأصبحنا نراك فليلنا

    من نور وجهك يامليح نهار

    We spent the night and saw you so our night

    From the light of your beautiful face became day

  8. ولقد نزلت فكنت جملة كوننا

    وتفككت عنا بك الأزرار

    You descended so you were our whole existence

    And the knots were untied from us by you

  9. والوجه شقق بالظهور ثيابنا

    حتى بدا وأزيلت الأستار

    The face was ripped by appearing our clothes

    Until it appeared and the curtains were removed

  10. الله أكبر هذه ذات الذي

    نحن الشؤن لديه والأطوار

    God is the Greatest this is the essence which

    We are its conditions and states

  11. والماء أيضا والتراب له به

    كان التجلي والهوا والنار

    The water also and dust through it

    Was the manifestation, air and fire

  12. وكواكب الأفلاك قبل ظهورنا

    أصل لنا تزجى بنا وتدار

    Stars of orbits before our appearance

    Revolve around us and turn

  13. والعرش منشأنا وكرسي الملا

    هيآتنا ونفوسنا الأقدار

    The throne our origin and chair of authority

    Our forms and souls the predetermined

  14. ولنا السموات العلية كونت

    والأرض والظلمات والأنوار

    For us were made the highest heavens

    Earth, darkness and light

  15. ولأجلنا ظهر الوجود بكل ما

    هو ظاهر وأنارت الأسحار

    And for our sake appeared existence with all

    That is apparent and dusk was illuminated

  16. ودوائر حركاتهن تناسقت

    بعض لبعض ما لهن قرار

    Circles of their movements harmonized

    Some to some, no stability for them

  17. كالبرق في التغيير وهي جوامد

    عند النواظر فاسمها أغيار

    Like lightning in changing while they are solids

    To the observers so their name is others

  18. طوراً هناك وتارة هي هاهنا

    ظهر اللطيف بهن والجبار

    Sometimes there, at times here

    The Subtle appeared through them and the Compeller

  19. ووراءهن حقيقة مطوية

    منشورة حارت بها الأبصار

    Behind them a folded truth

    Bewildered by it the sights

  20. أسماؤها أسماؤهن وذاتها

    هي ذاتهن لمن له استبصار

    Their names are her names and their essence

    Is her essence to whom has insight

  21. وهي المقدسة المنزهة التي

    جلت فتاه بها الجميع وحاروا

    She is the most sacred, the most pure who

    All were astonished by her glory and confused

  22. وتحققوا بالعجز عن إدراكها

    وبها إليها في الكمال يشار

    They verified through failing to grasp her

    And through her to her perfection is indicated

  23. عرفوا بها منهم حقائق أنفس

    خفيت فكان بنورها الإظهار

    Through her they knew truths of themselves

    Hidden so by her light was the disclosing

  24. والحكم منها نازل في حقهم

    شهدت به الآيات والأخبار

    Judgment from her descends regarding them

    Witnessed by the verses and news

  25. ولأجله جاء الخطاب بعزهم

    ولهم تزايد عندها المقدار

    And for it came the speech of their honor

    For them increased through her the measure

  26. لولا مقالة كن لشيء لم يكن

    هي هذه الكلمات والأذكار

    If not for the word "Be" nothing would be

    These are the words and remembrances

  27. وكذاك لولا الحكم كان الكل في

    نقص ولم يك للكمال منار

    Likewise if not for the judgment all would be

    In deficiency and no lighthouse for perfection

  28. وتشابه الإنسان والحيوان إذ

    رجل يقال مكوّن وحمار

    Resemblance of man and animal when

    It is said composed and donkey

  29. هذا هو الحق اليقين وغيره

    قول عليه تَعَيَّنَ الإنكار

    This is the certain truth and other than it

    A saying on it was necessitated denial
