محجبة طرف الذي رامها عمي

Veiled are the eyes that sought her blindly

لها كل حسن في البرية ينتمي

بذلت لها روحي وجسمي مرتمي

She has every beauty that belongs to the wilderness

I gave her my soul and my prone body

وغاليت في حبي لها ورأت دمي

رخيصا فمن هذين داخلها العجبُ

And I made my love for her expensive, but she saw my blood

As cheap, so of these two, wonder entered her
