فريدةُ حسنٍ وجهُها البدرُ طالعُ
أشاهد معنى لطفِها وأطالعُ
Her beauty's like the full moon rising
I see the gentleness of her being and am awed
تجلّت وكل الحادثات مغاربٌ
فجلَّت وكل الحادثات مطالع
She appeared and all things seemed to set
So she arose and all things seemed to rise
ولاحت لعيني وهي نور فأَعدَمت
ظلامَ سواها واستنارت مرابع
She shone before my eyes, a light, and so
Destroyed all darkness but herself, and dawned
وكانت ولا شيءٌ كما هي لم تزل
كذلك والأشياء منها وقائع
And was, and nothing was, as she has always been
The same, while things from her, in her, unfolding
نفتني بأنوار التجلي وأثبتت
فكلي لها منها إليها ودائع
With lights of revelation she enthralled me
So I am wholly hers, from her to her entrusting
وعندي لها أنواع عشق تفصلت
على قدر ما تبديه منها البراقع
And I have kinds of passion for her typified
As she displays herself unveiled from her cover
تثنت فقالوا لاح ثان وثالث
على الزور والبهتان منهم ورابع
They slandered saying thrice, four times deceived
With vain invention and fifth time a liar
ولو وحَّدوها طبق ما زعموا لما
رأوا غيرها في كل ما هو واقع
Had they but unified her as they claimed, they would
See none but her in all that comes to be
فهل من فتىً يا غافلون أدلُّه
عليها فيحظى بالذي هو طامع
Is there a lad, o heedless folk, I'll guide
To gain what he desires, doors opened wide
وتنفتح الأبوابُ بعد انغلاقها
ويدخل بيت العز من هو قارع
And enter the abode of might, one knocking
Yes, he it is, if you'll stand fast in piety
نعم هو هذا لو ثبتم على التقى
كما أنا أدري واستقلت مطالع
As I know well, directing your affairs
And yielded all conditions to God, resisting
وسلمتم الأحوال لله كلها
وفيه استقمتم ما ثناكم منازع
You wish, but only wishfully, her union
So fancy of the same deters and hinders
تريدون لكن بالأماني وصالها
فيدفعكم وهمُ السوى ويمانع
No truth but in the soul's desire, and claims
Of partisans deterred you, barriers forming
ولا صدق إلا في مراد نفوسكم
لكم وأعاقتكم دعاوى قواطع
Where's breach of war? Unlike one who remembers
Nor like the sated, one deprived and starving
وأين اقتحام الحرب من ذاكر لها
ولا يشبه الشبعان من هو جائع
Who'd marry a beauty offers proper dower
Seeker of honey fears no swelling of bees
ومن يخطب الحسناء يسنح بمهرها
وطالب شهد لم تخفه اللواسع
Gently, wait! Truth has a party and none
Of them but by the truth they are contending
رويدك مهلاً إن للحق عصبة
وما منهمو إلا وبالحق صادع
They built on purest certainty their being
And they are frozen by the awe, relenting
أقاموا على محض اليقين بناءهم
وجامدهم من هيبة الأمر مائع
They stayed true in their quest and hope
Each a bold hero to events contending
وداموا على صدق الإرادة والرجا
وهم كل قرم للخطوب يقارع
Their time was blessed with His presence
World to them but transient abodes
وقد عمروا أوقاتهم بحضوره
وعندهم الدنيا ديارٌ بلاقع
He is their slipper's strap, their glory by Him
Their leader and their followers defended
وأعلى العلى من دون دون نعالهم
يعز بهم متبوعهم والمتابع
She is the sun whose rays all else surrounding
If it should set, we are the stars ascending
هي الشمس أبدت ما سواها أشعة
إذا غربت نحن النجوم الطوالع
With a glance her eye enraptured all creation
No heart but bewildered and amazed
أشارت بجفن العين فافتتن الورى
ولا قلب إلا وهو حيران والع
My eye beheld her, hers beheld mine
From hers to mine a seer, a hearer binding
وأبصرها طرفي وذلك طرفها
فكان لها منها بصير وسامع
I loved her, but t'was she who anciently
Loved me, so enmity dissolved, pretending
وأحببتها بل تلك كانت هي التي
قديما أحبتني فزال التقاطع
She filled my eyes with sacred lights
And meadows of grace for the gazelles extending
وقد ملأت عيني بأنوار قدسها
ومنها لغزلان الجمال مراتع
All's but shapes impossible, like to
Waves with surges, Water plunging
وما الكل إلا صورة مستحيلة
كماء له موجٌ وفيه فواقع
Water's but the Soul, waves are breaths
Plunging, bodies; Soul's the encompassing
وما الماء إلا الروح والموج أنفس
فواقعها الأجسام وهي الجوامع
This decree's the obvious of the unseen
The Essence, beyond all, expanding
وتلك تقادير بها الأمر ظاهر
ومن خلف هذا كله الذات واسع
You speak truth, truth came and falsehood vanished
Idols of imagination vanished
صدقتك جاء الحق والباطل انتفى
وزالت تماثيل الخيال الخوادع
And the soul's beloved unveiled her face
Dazzling, men swooned, limbs dissolving
ومخطوبة الأرواح ألقت لثامها
عن الوجه منها وهو بالنور ساطع
How many she enraptured with her love
At mention overflow tear ducts releasing
فأفنت جميع الكائنات وهيمت
رجالاً وهت منهم عليها الأضالع
With the ritual prayer she joined my breath
And I attained my wishes, all embracing
وكم فتنت في عشقها من متيم
إذا ذكرت منه تفيض المدامع
She bestowed being on all entities with her essence
No being but her being, o contender
صلت بالمصلَّى مهجتي بفراقها
ونلتُ مُنىً إذ لي مِنىً هو جامع
She lent the universe robes of her attributes
And every lent thing to its lender returning
وجادت على كل الذوات بذاتها
فلا ذات إلا ذاتها يا مدافع
She placed the secret of being in things
All trusts to be restored, Dependable
وكل صفات الكون فهي صفاتها
وتنزيهها في الكون بالكون شائع
We appeared by her, but by us she appeared
Leveler of realms, here and yonder
ولا قائم إلا بها في وجوده
ولا صانع إلا بها هو صانع
No religion but love of her for her folk
So many bowing worshippers prostrating
ألفت قديماً حبَّها وهو حب ما
أحب فكانت ما أنا فيه والع
To her their prayers wheresoever they face
Their prayer niche her face illuminating
وقرت بها عيني غداة عرفتها
فمن عينها تجري لعيني منابع
By the soul's water their ablution
وبانت وما بانت فلا شيء غيرها
سوى أننا عنها بروق لوامع
Continuous washing, cleansing, pursuing
If they mingle with others, 'tis uncleanness
إذا أسفرت عن وجهها برقعَ السوى
هدت كلَّ ضال في الورى هو ضائع
Obliging ritual wash, cutting, precluding
If no water be found, they symbolize
وإن سترت بالغير وجه جمالها
أضلت عقولاً تعتلي فتقارع
With good earth's powder, lost in profusion
She's the truth! All else is filth they cleansed
ولولا دفاع الناس بعضاً ببعضهم
لهدت كما قال الإلهُ صوامع
From themselves, so terrors are diminishing
Of other they speak not, so they rinsed
ونحن أولاء المؤمنين بحسنها
عداوتنا سم حذارك ناقع
Their mouths with Her, diffusing, embracing
Of all else, their faces' washing
ومن رامنا بالسوء فالله دائماً
كما جاء في القرآن عنا يدافع
Was to turn from all towards Her advancing
Washing hands of all their deeds and affairs
ألمت بنا والكون كالليل مظلم
فلم تشعر الواشون إذ هم هواجع
By neglecting all but Her, ambitions
Threefold this washing, triad symbolizing
وزارت على رغم الأعادي فانكروا
زيارتها قالوا خيال يرافع
Manifest by it skills not cessating
They wiped their heads of leadership
وما ذاك إلا أنني كنت فارساً
ببيدائها والغير في السير ظالع
Humility their trait, abasing
They washed their feet standing in service
محجبة إلا على كل محرم
لها قرَّبتْهُ فهو للوتر شافع
No refusal, advancing, debasing
Glorifying Her beyond describing
ومقبلة لكن على كل تارك
سواها بها عنها إليها يسارع
Hands uplifting, Hers uplifting, facing
Praising Her as befits Her essence
أعارت معاني الكون ثوب صفاتها
وكل معار للمعيرة راجع
In Her seeking refuge from harm and profit
By Her name they stood proclaiming Her speech
وأودعت الأشياء سر وجودها
ولا بد يوما أن ترد الودائع
Not one but by Her in awe and chasing
If they bow, incline to Her completely
ظهرنا بها لا بل بنا ظهرت وقد
تساوت دوانٍ ههنا وشواسع
Hearts humbled, yielding, embracing
If they prostrate, perish yet remain by Her
ولا دين إلا حبها عند أهلها
فكم نحوها من ساجد وهو راكع
Again prostrating, wonders displaying
Stillness from their sitting in contemplation
إليها صلاة القوم أين توجهوا
وقبلتهم وجه لها يتلامع
Struggle ceased, disputing, debating
Freely to Her they surrendered and submitted
وبالماء ماء الروح من أمرها لهم
وضوء وغسل دائم متتابع
From all evil She defended, shielding
The people have but their souls as treasure
وإن خالطوا الأغيار كانت جنابة
لهم رفعها فرض على القوم قاطع
Trading souls brought gains excelling
They spent them in Her passion generously
وإن لم يكن ماء هناك تيمموا
صعيداً له طيب من الجسم ضائع
Not ceasing to give from overflowing
They gave the innate gift by which they were shaped
هو الحق لاقوا من سواه نجاسة
فمنها قد استنجوا وزالت فظائع
Never changing, hearts complying
They fasted from others, breaking fast
وعن غيره لم ينطقوا فتمضمضوا
وشموه باستنشاقهم فهو ذائع
With Her when set all lights from glowing
On pilgrimage, Her house of might their being
وعمّا سواه كان غسل وجوههم
لكي يقبلوا عنه له ويسارعوا
Circling in their essence, rotating
They walked upon the circling ground
وغسل يديهم من جميع أمورهم
بتغويضهم فيه تنال المطامع
Boasting to Her, skill displaying
When the heart's guidance stone appeared
وتثليث هذا الغسل شكل مثلث
به ظهرت ممن براه صنائع
They received, from Her hands conveying
At the plain of Reunion they drew near
وقد مسحوا فيه رؤوس رياسة
فما الذل إلا وصفهم والتواضع
Halting, barriers nullifying
Their wishes attained at Mina, casting
وقد غسلوا أقدامهم في قيامهم
بخدمته عن كل ما هو مانع
There their worries, vanquishing, slaying
Farewells they bade the Ancient House
وقد كبروه عن مدى وصفهم له
برفع يديهم ظاهراً وهو رافع
To their root of knowledge homing
On feast of sacrifice, their souls they slew
وأثنوا عليه بالذي هو أهله
ومنه استعاذوا فهو ضار ونافع
Sacrifices of nature, betraying
Soul's lust sacrificed, vain pulsing veins
وهم باسمه قاموا ليتلوا كلامه
فما منهمو إلا به هو خاشع
Till nothing remains, secreting, preying
In the heart's sanctuary found an orphan
وإن ركعوا مالوا إليه بكلهم
وصاروا لديه والقلوب خواضع
Pearl which seekers of Union are conveying
Lost unseen treasure, absence ruled
وإن سجدوا يفنوا ويبقوا به له
إذا سجدوا الأخرى وتبدو بدائع
As death, in all affairs waylaying
To revive soul's dead with remembrance necessary
وفيهم سكونٌ من قعود تشهُّدٍ
له وانقضى تحريكهم والتنازع
So be fertile, cultivating, arraying
Killing the soul's meaning with the Soul requires
وقد سلموا طوعاً إليه وأسلموا
ومنهم له التسليم للسوء دافع
Retribution by the Sword's sharp flaying
Or accept blood-wit from its attributes for it
ولا مال عند القوم إلا نفوسهم
تجارتهم فيها غلت والبضائع
Judgment contendable, equating
They prepared their souls as fertile ground
وقد أنفقوها حين آتوا زكاتهم
على الحق لم يقطع به عنه قاطع
Master of waters, irrigating, surveying
Their acknowledging the truth, arguments
وأدوا إليه فطرة فطروا بها
وما غيروها والقلوب طوائع
Against all else,kleaving, flaying
Giving their existence capital to Her
وصاموا عن الأغيار فيه وأفطروا
على وجهه مذ غاب للكون طالع
Profit implied, no loss decaying
An ancient speculation with the One
وفي الحج كانوا بيت عزته فهم
بنشأتهم طافوا فست وسابع
Whose all creations, complying, obeying
If they seized their attributes from themselves
وقد رملوا في ذا الطواف تدللاً
عليه وفخر عندهم فيه بارع
Her jealousy attacked them, slaying
Withdrawing their claim of otherness, they vanished
ولما بدا من قلبهم حجر الهدى
له استلموا إذ منه بانت أصابع
Sheltered by Her from recognition betraying
They pawned their hearts to Her for loving debts
وفي عرفات الوصل حازوا تقرباً
بوقفتهم فيها فزالت موانع
Unending, what is, what will be, contending
Limits of passion their Lord established
ونالوا مُناهم في مِنى وبها رموا
جمارَ همومٍ كلهنَّ مصارع
Not trespassing, though limits warning
Who claims possession, him a thief
وقد ودعوا البيت العتيق وأقبلوا
على أصلهم في العلم وهو مواضع
Stealing, Truth severing, marring
"Your eyes," She said to Her imam, "Refrain
وفي عيد نحر الهجر فازوا بذبحهم
ضحايا طباع هن فيهم لواسع
From coveting," so followers complying
Forbidden wine of otherness makes one
ذبيحة نفس قطعُ عرقِ فسادِها
إلى أن يفي منها خؤونٌ مخادع
Face calamities striking and flaying
An unchaste vulva admits not otherness
وأخذ لقيط القلب في مسجد الحجى
مهم له تسعى الكرام المصاقع
Stoning it with deprivation, preventing
Accusing the deifying slander their punishment
ومن يلتقط سراً بتعريفه له
يرد على الروح الإلهي ضائع
Exile's lashes, from sanctuary prying
Piety was Her command to us
وغيبة مفقود عن الكون حكمها
كموت له في كل أمر يضارع
When ways appeared and paths seemed fraying
By it She gave us piety from Her
وحب معاني الحق إخراج عشرها
خراجٌ لأرباب الجهالة قاطع
No existence for ourselves asserting
Content with Her decree, acquiescing
وجزية كفار النفوس يكون عن
يدٍ وصغارٍ حيث قرر واضع
Wondrous piety from piety perfecting
They avoided austerity but were austere
ومن نال صيد الغيب كلبُ هواه أو
أعيقت ببازي القلب طير سواجع
To all but Her, fraud detecting, deflecting
Of repentance repented, their station
فقد فاز بالقصد الذي هو راكب
إليه على خيل وهن الطبائع
Above stations, elevating, respecting
Godfearing from every state before Her
وواهب ذات الخال ظلمة كونه
تعوضه نوراً به هو لامع
To Her, marvels detecting, reflecting
They excelled stages of journey, sufficed
وقد آجر الأقوام إمكانهم له
فأجرتهم إنعامه المتسارع
By secrets' aspects, not negating, ejecting
They stood by the Holy Essence in the unseen
وباعوا نفوساً في هواه نفيسةً
له فاشتراها حين أوجب بائع
To Her a seal, impressing, subjecting
Their meanings fulfilled in Her words
فقال لهم فاستبشروا إذ ببيعكم
توليتكم فالكلُّ عندي مطاوع
Water of guidance from them streaming
All that seemed to them other than Her
وإن جهاد القلب للنفس واجب
عليهم لفتح الروح فهو المصارع
Gone, removed, Ever-Living, Ever-Seeing
Otherness phantasy in their reason
وقد دخلوا بالملك في قلعة الأنا
فليس لهم عما يرومون دافع
Like mirage water, appearing yet fleeing
Earth transformed not itself they saw
وقادوا أسارى كلَّ خُلْقٍ مُذمَّمٍ
وفاز شجاع بالغنائم دارع
Heavens changed, dawning decreeing
They came forth for the One, the Only
وقد شاركوه في الوجود فثامن
لفسخ اشتراك كان منهم وتاسع
By them, She in them, Omniscient, Decreeing
They were as they were in their state
وقد كفل الرحمن أرزاقهم لهم
وطالب بالأعمال وهي منافع
Eternal with Her, Beyond being, Seeing
No beginning, their end in Her
فإن الدعاوى ألزمتهم كفالة
بأعمالهم والكل منه نوابع
Vanished in Her seas, Ever-Agreeing
In knowledge thus sequences combine
وتوكيلهم للحق أنتج قربهم
إليه وهذا للكمال ذرائع
Presence to Her, past and forthcoming
Who knows ancient knowledge sees what I say
أحال بهم يوما عليهم فأفلسوا
وقد أصبحوا بعضٌ لبعض يتابع
Though fools decry it, bleating, disagreeing
Hidden knowledge from minds that weave
ولما إليه بالحوالة ردَّهم
لهم بالفنا كانت لديه يتابع
Edifices of dreams, spiderings, misleading
This occurs but by Her teaching, none knows
ونحن له وقفٌ لأجل صفاته
وقد عمرت منا لهنَّ المزارع
Except those bearing secrets, secreting
What was in Her appears by Her in Her
وقاض قضى بالحق والروح شاهد
فكان لحق النفس منها مقامع
What was not, not occurring, deceiving
We witnessed primal matter's but Her light
ودعوى الغنى تعطي الخصومة في الهوى
وقد جمعت للعاشقين مجامع
Shapes manifold by Her shifting, heaving
The color of the arts, azure heavenly
وجاءت بأنواع الشهادات أمة
على الحق زكتها صفات بوارع
Brilliant white, darkest black, verdant, seething
Red hot, then yellow bursting
وهذا نكاح الأمر عقد محقق
ومن كل شيء خَلْقُ زوجين بادع
Outer forms from Her, in Her breathing
شهدنا على إيجابنا وقبولنا
وكانت لنا بالحضرتين وقائع
Truth we descend by, truth we descend
The Gnostics truly realized this creeding
وزفت عروس القرب ليلة قدرنا
وفي ذَكَرِ الذكر استلذَّ المجامع
Naught is truth but One so She is Knower
Known and Knowledge, tri-fold succeeding
وإنزالُهُ القرآن قد حملت به
فروج قلوب بالعلوم تدافع
Hence the multiplicity that led people astray
Fulfilled by Her from Abundance bleeding
وبت طلاق الصبر زوج فتى الهوى
ثلاثاً على سلمى فكيف يراجع
The paradisal stream, sweet its water
Pipes therein from its spring streaming
ولو دفعت كل الذي هو ملكها
على طلقة ما كان قلبي يخالع
It is Her Pool, who drinks but once
No thirst or grief or weeping
وبُرَّتْ يمينٌ واليمين ثلاثة
غموسٌ بحكم الغير للغير رائع
It bars those who indulged desire
Shredding faith for fleeting, misleading
ولغو على أهل المجاهدة احتوى
ولا إثم فيه لكن القلب جازع
Her worshippers filled up on Her their jugs
Stars in skies of learning, far-seeing
ومنعقد وهو الذي بين قومنا
تلذ به عند اللقاء المسامع
They light night-travelers to sanctuaries
Meteors ending tyrants' breathing
كلام على حكم العيان مفصل
به الغيث من سحب الحقائق هامع
Happy if you win their company, fortunate one
Pleased, solaced, branches fruiting, leaves spreading
وتكفيره في حنثه ستر كل ما
بدا فثمار الحظ منه أيانع
Be Her servant not one of vain desire
It stamps the heart, impressing, stampeding
ومن يأخذ الدنيا بشفعة داره
من الحق لما باعها فهو باخع
She is eager in your poverty and pain
None attains but the valiant, combating
ومن رد عبداً آبقاً كان أجره
عظيماً على مولاه فهو الموادع
Crave sincerity, find Her in you not apart
She hastens you to Her from straying
وإحيا موات النفس بالذكر واجبٌ
ليسعد فيها بالحراثة زارع
The more sincere your love, nearer you drew
Lost ones guided, threading, bead stringing
وقتلك معنى الروح بالروح يقتضي
قصاصاً بسيف الحق إذ هو شارع
Other meanings dimmed, self's expanse folded
Mind's steed failed, impossible leaping
وإن أخذت من وصفها ديةً له
فذلك حكم للقصاص يضارع
You were as you were before you weren't
She was as She was, Ever-Seeing, Ever-Living
وهيأت الأقوام أرض نفوسهم
فكان المساقي شيخهم والمزارع
Learned of Her essence revealing to Him
In meanings of attributes all interbeing
وإقرارهم بالحق حجتهم على
سواه وكلٌّ لابسُ الأمر خالع
In Him time and space conjoined
How and where, All-Encompassing, All-Uniting
وإعطاء رأس المال وهو وجودهم
إليه اقتضى ربحاً وضل المخادع
His wonders in Him, statues to Him
Measures from Him, duties legitimating
مضاربة منه قديماً مع الذي
له كل ما في الكائنات توابع
From nothingness tending to nothingness ended
Caprice of one mind, fluctuating, oscillating
وإن غصبوا أوصافهم من ذواتها
أغارت عليهم منه خيل طلائع
Naught but the Light, the light Muhammad
Dawning from the Light, illuminating
وفي الصلح عن دعوى المغايرة اختفوا
فهم منه في الدنيا غيوث هوامع
Light upon light said our Lord
Interceding for us, alleviating
وقد رهنوه بالديون قلوبهم
وماض وحال لا يفي ومضارع
Highest, the Godly Light, magnify naught
Lowermost, humble, debasing, awaiting
حدود الهوى قامت عليهم بربهم
فلم يعتدوها والحدود روادع
That's never-fading, this each glance
With annihilation, perpetuation, fluctuating
ومن يدعي ملكاً فذلك سارق
يمد يداً فالحق لليد قاطع
His theophany grants it permanence through Him
Occultation from minds, senses negating
وعينيك فاسمع لا تَمُدَنَّ قال في
إمامٍ فكيف المقتدي وهو تابع
The mind's mind, oneness singular
Appearing, hiding, paths initiating
وخمر السوى منه إذا شرب امرؤٌ
عليه بأنواع الخطوب مقارع
The Soul of all, Pen inscribing all
Tablet and Pen preceding creating
وزانيةٌ لم تحصن الفرج عن سوىً
لها الرجم بالحرمان حد يمانع
Throne and Chair taking form through Him
Forms containing them and limbs correlating
وقذف أولي التشبيه يوجب حدهم
سياطَ بعادٍ عن حماه قوارع
In all things mysteries and decrees
وقد كان بالتقوى وصيته لنا
غداة بدت سبلٌ ولاحت مشارع
New creation for veiling accelerating
Flashes from His Holy Essence gleaming
به منه تقوانا فلا ندعي لنا
وجوداً ونرضى حكمه ونطاوع
Oh for gleam of love from Him radiating
Soul's breezes blew from the meadows of love
وميراثه منا بميراثنا له
فرائض كانت منه فينا بواضع
A lost fragrance of love, oscillating
Their breaths perfumed me, so the worlds
فَثَمِّنْ وثلث إرث أم كتابنا
على حكمها في قسمتي لا أنازع
Through them smelled sweet, all congratulating
Truth's missionaries rose by me
ولا يرث المحجوب منهم بحاجب
على العين حكمٌ قررته الشرائع
Pacting with the pious, alternating
O people harken to my truth
وبالعول إن زادت سهام أولي الحجى
خيالاً تراءته العيون الهواجع
My birds and beauties find love captivating
My basin's filled, my wine exquisite
أعد نظراً ما زاد شيءٌ على الذي
عملت ولكن لجة وزعازع
My meadows with fairest treasures awaiting
My adornments long, time favors us
وقام وصي الحق يحفظ بالهدى ال
يتيم الإلهيْ والجميع مراضع
Eyes of the age on us contemplating
My joy's cups with ease, my comfort achieved
وفقه الهوى فرض على القوم درسه
وكم ناله شيخ وكهل ويافع
My days, meadows of contemplation sating
Peace be upon me, when I was born
ومن كان مقداماً يَلِجْ كل لجة
إليه وإن ضجت عليه الضفادع
And died and resurrected, undulating
وأهل طريق الله قد ألفوا السرى
وطال بطاحٌ دونهم وأجارع
وغابوا عن الأكوان في الغيب حيث لم
يكن ههنا إلا الشخوص الخوادع
ومدت لهم منه يد أقدسية
تبايعهم فيها رأوا فتبايعوا
هم القوم لا يشقى الجليس بهم إذا
لهم كان في سر وجهر يطاوع
وقد زهدوا في الزهد عما سواه إذ
رأوا الزهد معنىً للعقول يخادع
وعن توبة تابوا وهذا مقامهم
لهم هو من فوق المقامات رافع
وتقواهم التقوى على كل حالة
لديهم عن التقوى وتلك بدائع
وما ورع إلا عن الورع اقتفوا
وما منهمو إلا عن القنع قانع
وفاتوا مقامات السلوك لأنها
على أوجه الأسرار منهم مقانع
وقاموا بوصف الذات في غيب غيبه
له فيه ختم مثل ما كان طابع
وتمت معانيهم على كلماته
وماء الهدى من عينهم هو نابع
وزال الذي كانوا يظنون أنه
سواهم له عز عن الكل شاسع
وقد كان وهماً ذاك عند عقولهم
كمثل رقوم أظهرتها المدامع
وقد بدلت أرض لهم غير أرضها
كذاك سموات وزالت طوالع
وقد برزوا للواحد الأحد الذي
بهم هو فيه عالم ثم صانع
وكانوا كما كانوا على الحالة التي
بها أزلاً كانوا كلم يك واضع
كما أنه باق بما هو فيه من
قديم وهذا الأمر للوهم قامع
بدايتهم كانت نهايتهم به
ومهيعهم آلت إليه المهايع
وفي العلم كل هكذا مترتب
حضور له ما قد مضى والمضارع
فمن يعلم العلم القديم يرى الذي
أقول وتُرمى عن حمير براذع
وتخفى علوم للعقول حوادث
عناكبها تبني البيوت خوادع
ولم يك ذا إلا بتعليمه ولا
يعلم إلا من لديه يوادع
وما كان فيه فهو يبدو له به
وما لم يكن فيه فما هو واقع
هيولا شهدنا أنها نور نوره
لها صور شتى به تتدافع
وألوانها ذات الفنون فأزرق
سماويُّ لونٍ ثم أبيض ناصع
وأسود غربيبٌ وأخضر ناضرٌ
وأحمر قاني ثم أصفر فاقع
ظواهر منه فيه عنه له به
بواطن أفناها من الذات لامع
وبالحق أنزلنا وبالحق نازل
لقد حققته العارفون المصافع
وما الحق إلا واحد فهو عالم
وعلم ومعلوم ثلاث قوارع
ومن ههنا ألهى التكاثرُ أمة
محققها من كوثر هو جارع
وذلك نهر الجنة العذب ماؤه
وفي الحوض أنبوبان منه شوارع
هو الحوض منه كل من نال شربة
فلا ظمأ يلقى ولا هو جازع
ويطرد عنه كل من تبع الهوى
وتمزيقه ديناً بدنياه راقع
أباريقه قوم به امتلأوا وهم
نجوم بآفاق العلوم سواطع
يضيء بهم ليل السراة إلى الحمى
ومنهم رجوم للطغاة قوامع
حنانيك عش إن فزت منهم بواحد
سعيداً قرير العين غصنُك يانع
وكن عبده لا عبد حظ وشهوة
فما أنت ناويه على القلب طابع
وهذا مقام حف بالبؤس والأسى
وما ناله إلا الشجاع المقارع
ودم طالباً منه التحقق فيه لا
سواه تجده عنك فيك يسارع
وإن زدت صدقاً في محبته له
به زدت قرباً واهتدى منك ضائع
وزالت معاني الغير في العين وانطوت
مسافة نفس بالمحال تخادع
وكنت كما قد كنت من قبل لم تكن
وكان كما قد كان وهو الموادع
عليم بذات منه تجلى عليه في
معاني صفات كلهن بوادع
وفيه زمان والمكان تداخلا
وكيفٍ وكمٍّ وهو للكل جامع
له الكل وهو الكل وهو منزه
عن الكل فاعرف واعتبر يا منازع
تصاويره فيه تماثيله له
تقاديره منه فروض بوارع
من العدم امتدت إلى العدم انتهت
خيلات عقل واحد يتلامع
وما هو إلا النور نور محمد
تبدى من النور الذي هو طالع
فنور على نور كذا قال ربنا
وذلك مشفوع لديه وشافع
وأعلاهما النور الإلهيُّ شأنه ال
تكبر والأدنى هو المتواضع
وذلك لا يفنى وذا كل لمحة
بأيدي الفنا ثم البقا يتتابع
تجليه يبقيه به واستتاره
فناء له في الفكر والحس قالع
هو العقل عقل الكل فرد جوهر
يلوح ويخفى عن ضيا وهو شارع
هو الروح روح الكل والقلم الذي
به الكل مكتوب له اللوح واضع
وعرش وكرسي تجسم فيهما
له صورة تحويهما وأضالع
وفي كل شيء سر أمر ملبس
بخلق جديد للخفاء مسارع
كبرق عن الذات النزيهة لامع
فيا لك برق من حمى الحب لامع
سرت نسمات الروح من روضة الحمى
فعطرني طيب من الحب ضائع
وعطرت الأنفاس مني بنفحها
جميع الورى حتى استطيبت مصانع
وقامت دعاة الحق بالحق عن يدي
تعاهد أرباب التقى وتبايع
فَحَيَّهَلا يا قوم نحو حقيقتي
فإن طيوري بالجمال سواجع
وحوضي ملآنٌ ومائي مروَّقٌ
وروضي بأنواع المحاسن يانع
وباعي طويل والزمان مساعد
لنا وعيون الدهر عنا هواجع
وكاسات أفراحي براحي وراحتي
دهاق وأيامي المواضي رواجع
