  1. قد أصبح قلبي في وهجِ

    ومدامع عيني كاللججِ

    My heart has become ablaze

    And my eyes pour forth tears like torrents

  2. ومعاني الشوق قد اتضحت

    بلسان ضنى الجسم اللهج

    The pangs of longing have become clear

    In the eloquent tongue of my wailing body

  3. فعسى الألطاف تحف بنا

    ويلوح النور من السرج

    May blessings surround us

    And light shine from the stars

  4. ولعل الرحمة تدركنا

    من بعد الشدة بالفرج

    May mercy find us

    After hardship, with relief

  5. ولعل علينا الله يجو

    د بشرح الصدر من الحرج

    May God have mercy on us

    And expand our chests from tension

  6. والذنب يزول بمغفرة

    ويصير الهالك منه نجي

    Sins will fade with forgiveness

    And the doomed will find salvation

  7. كرم المولى يحكي لججاً

    فاسبح في هاتيك اللجج

    The Lord's generosity pours forth torrents

    So glorify amidst these rapids

  8. وادخل بيت التوفيق ولا

    تصعد إلا في ذي الدرج

    And enter the house of success

    Only ascending its steps

  9. واعرفه به واعبده له

    واسجد إن أسفر وابتهج

    Know it through it, worship it for it

    Prostrate when dawn breaks and rejoice

  10. واسكر من خمرة طلعته

    وانظر نور الوجه البهج

    Get drunk on the wine of its rising

    And see the radiant face shine

  11. واترك عنك الأكوان بلا

    ترك واسلك في ذا النهج

    Leave behind all else

    And walk upon this path

  12. مت واغسل عنك الغير وفي

    أكفان الصفوة فاندرج

    Die, and wash off all else

    And in the shrouds of the elite, settle

  13. يا خمرة عين الحق لنا

    برضاب الحضرة فامتزجي

    O wine of the truth's eye for us

    With the Lord's pleasure, so mingle

  14. واذهب يا كأس فإنك من

    وهم تمضي طورا وتجي

    And begone O cup, for you

    Are an illusion, passing in haste

  15. ما ثم سوى الأحكام فلا

    تمدح شيأ فالشيء هجي

    Nothing exists but judgments

    So praise nothing, for all is fleeting

  16. ذات كالروض ونحن بها

    من زهر الوصف شذا الأرج

    An essence like a garden, and we

    Among its descriptive splendor, a meadow

  17. يا صاحب هذا المشرب قف

    أنت المقدام لدى الرهج

    O partaker of this drink, stop

    You who dare face the blaze

  18. جل بين صفوفك مفتخراً

    واسق الأسياف من المهج

    Step proudly between your ranks

    And draw the swords from their sheaths

  19. والكل سواك بغير هدى

    إن شئت فسر أوشئت عج

    All others stray without guidance

    If you wish, march on, or halt if you please

  20. لا تطلب غيرك إنك أن

    ت مناك فَحُلْ عن ذا العوج

    Seek no others, for you

    Are our aid, so leave behind crooked ways

  21. هذا نصحي فاقبله وكن

    للجاهل حبلاً في ودج

    This is my advice, so accept it

    And to the ignorant, be a rope in darkness

  22. أو كن للكل رياض هدى

    أو حسناً في الخد الضرج

    Or be for all a garden of guidance

    Or beauty on the reddened cheek

  23. واشكر مولاك كما أولا

    ك به واترك قول الهمج

    And thank your Master as he

    Gifted you, and leave the words of rabble

  24. وصلاة الله بلا أمدٍ

    وسلام الله مدى الحجج

    And the prayer of God without end

    And the peace of God throughout ages

  25. وتحية رب الخلق على

    طه منجينا من وهج

    And greeting from the Lord of all

    Upon Taha, our rescuer from the blaze

  26. وعلى الآل الأطهار له

    وعلى الأصحاب أولى البلج

    And upon his pure family

    And his companions, the first to plunge in

  27. ما أسفر ضوء الصبح وما

    ولَّى ليلٌ في الدهر دَجِي

    Since the dawn's light shone and

    Since a night in ages passed away
