بوجودي فغذني يا قوتي

وبناري لم يحترق ياقوتي

ثم جولت في ثبوتك ذوقي

And I descended in you to the coffin,

ولهذا أكون أنت ولا تش

عر بي أنت يا حبيس البيوت

And that’s why I become you and you don’t feel me,

O you prisoner of homes,

إنني مطلق وإنك قيد

لي ببحري كيونس والحوت

I am absolute, and you are bound,

To my sea like Jonah and the whale,

وإذا ما أردت مثلك كم لي

شبح في ظهوره منحوت

And if I wanted the like of you, how many

أنا ساع في هدم كل بناء

دون مرأى حقيقتي المبحوت

I am the moment in demolishing every building,

Beyond the sight of my buried truth,

وبجهل أراك تبني نفوساً

وجسوماً بناية العنكبوت

ليت داوود روح مثلك لو يق

تل نفساً أضل من جالوت
