وَتَكعمُ كَلبَ الحَيِّ مِن خشيَةِ القِرى

وَتَكعمُ كَلبَ الحَيِّ مِن خشيَةِ القِرى

وَقِدرُكَ كَالعَذراءِ مِن دونِها سِترُ

وَقِدرُكَ كَالعَذراءِ مِن دونِها سِترُ

And you muzzle the clan’s dog for fear of having to offer hospitality,

while your cooking pot is like a virgin maiden, with a veil barring the way to her.
