هَل تَسمَعُ الأَزدُ ما يَقالُ لَها
في ساحَةِ الدَّارِ أَم بِها صَمَمُ
Does Al-Azd hear what is said to her
In the courtyard of the house, or is she deaf to it?
اختَتَنَ القَومُ بَعدَما هَرِموا
وَاِستَعرَبوا ضَلّةً وَهُم عَجَمُ
The people were circumcised after they grew old
