بَرِئنا إِلى المرّانِ بكر بن وائِلٍ

عَلانِيةً مِن حِلفِ كُلِّ يَمانِ

We have been cleared of ties with the house of Marwan son of Wa'il

Openly, from the pact of all of Yemen

فَراشٌ إِذا ما احتيجَ لِلحلم مِنهُمُ

وَدَيّانِ أَطماعٍ بِكُلِّ مَكانِ

Bedouins, whenever wisdom is needed from them

And granting the hopes of greed in every place

فَجزّوا خُصاكم وَاِبتَغوا من تحالفوا

مِنَ النَّاسِ حَيّاً غَيرَ أزدِ عُمانِ

So reward those you have allied with

Among the people, O Azd Oman, with life
