قادَ الجُيوشَ لِخَمسَ عَشرَةَ حِجَّةً

وَلِداتُهُ عَن ذاكَ في أَشغالِ

He led the armies for fifteen pilgrimages

While he was busy with that, his sons were born

قَعَدَت بِهم أَهواؤُهُم وَسَمَت بِهِ

هِمَمُ المُلوكِ وَسَورةُ الأَبطالِ

Their desires kept them seated, and it marked them
