1. كَيفَ العَزاءُ وَأَنتِ أَومَقُ مَن مَشى

    وَالنَفسُ مولَعَةٌ وَدارُكِ نائِيَه

    How can I be consoled when you are farther than one who walked away

    And my soul is inflamed while your home is distant

  2. بِيَدَيكِ قَتلي إِن أَرَدتِ مَنيَّتي

    وَشِفاءُ نَفسي إِن أَرَدتِ شِفائِيَه

    In your hands is my death if you want my demise

    And the healing of my soul if you want my recovery

  3. وَلَقَد عَرَفتُ فَما أَوَيتُ لِمُدنِفٍ

    ما النَفسُ عَنكِ وَإِن نَأَيتُ بِسالِيَه

    And I have known so I do not blame the slanderer

    The soul cannot be apart from you even if I go far away
