1. سَتَبرَأُ مِن بُعدِ الضَمانَةِ رِجلُها

    وَتَأتي الَّذي تَهوى مُخَلّى طَريقُها

    Her foot will be freed after the guarantee

    And the one she loves will come with his path cleared

  2. عَلَيَّ هَدايا البُدنِ إِن لَم أُلاقِها

    وَإِن لَم يَكُن إِلّا فُدَيكٌ يَسوقُها

    Woe to me if I don't meet her gifts of beauty

    Even if all she has is a rooster to lead her

  3. يُحَصِّنُها مِنّي فُدَيكٌ سَفاهَةً

    وَقَد ذَهَبَت فيها الكُباسُ وَحوقُها

    A rooster protects her from me out of ignorance

    Though she has lost her helmet and armor

  4. تُذيقونَها شَيئاً مِنَ النارِ كُلَّما

    رَأَت مِن بَني كَعبٍ غُلاماً يَروقُها

    They make her taste some fire whenever

    She sees a handsome youth of Bani Kaab please her
