1. وَإِن مَقامي شَطَرَ يَومٍ بِمَنزِلٍ

    أَخافُ عَلى نَفسي بِهِ لِكَثيرُ

    Though I stay but half a day in a house,

    I fear for myself in it greatly.

  2. وَقَد يَهرُبُ الإِنسانُ مِن خيفَةِ الرَدى

    فَيُدرِكُهُ ما خافَ حَيثُ يَسيرُ

    And the man may flee from the terror of perishment

    But what he feared shall meet him where he goes.
