Tell the young man Nasr Abu al-Fath

That the warrior attacked with a headbutt

And I saw him retreat from it, then go

Forward and turn back to the spear

And I see misfortune helping him

So look out for yourself and accept my advice

And I found that when you counted for him

What indicates the expensiveness of wheat

And the descent of a matter I dare not utter

Even if it would profit me

And when you see the full moon in eclipse

Destiny descended with the most intense eclipse

O Lord of the rising of the evening, it came

    Unlike the risings of dawn

And the Lord of a barge that darkened in the evening

    At dawn emerged damp

Crying over one who honored her

A wail between mourning women's laments
