فارِعَةُ الجِسمِ هَضيمُ الحَشا

كَالمُهرَةِ الضامِرِ لَم تُركَبِ

Slender of body, fleet of foot

Like an unmounted pearl

أَو دُرَّةٍ ساعَةَ ما اِستُخرِجَت

لَم تُمتَهَن بَعدُ وَلَم تُثقَبِ

Or a gem just extracted

Not yet pierced or strung

مَشرَبَةُ اللَونِ مُتوعَ الضُحى

صَفراءَ بِالآصالِ كَالمُذهَبِ

Of a rosy complexion in the morning glow

Golden yellow, like gold itself
