لَيتَ حَظّي اليَومَ مِن كلْ

لِ مَعاشٍ لي وَزادِ

If only my fortune today

Would provide me sustenance and provisions

قَهوَةٌ أَبذُلُ فيها

طارِفي ثُمَّ تِلادي

A coffee I would spend my time in

Refreshing me, then relaxing

فَيَظَلُّ القَلبُ مِنها

هائِماً في كُلِّ وادي

So my heart would remain

Wandering in every valley

إِنَّ في ذاكَ صَلاحي

وَفَلاحي وَرَشادي

Indeed in that is my righteousness

And my success and guidance
