فَدَمعُ العَينِ مُنهَلٌّ سَفوحُ

أَلا طَرَقتكَ بِالبَلقاءِ سَلمى
هُدُواً وَالمَطِيُّ بِنا جُنوحُ

Loitering, while my camel walked with heavy steps
فَبِتُّ بِها قَريرَ العَينِ حَتّى
تَكَلَّمَ ناطِقُ الصُبحِ الفَصيحُ
I lay awake there with teary eyes until
