إِذا مُتُّ يا أُمَّ الحُنَيكِلِ فَاِنكِحي
وَلا تَأمُلي بَعدَ الفِراقِ تَلاقِيا
If you die, O mother of separation, then marry,
And hope not after parting for a meeting;
فَإِنَّ الَّذي حُدِّثتِهِ مِن لِقائِنا
أَحاديثُ طَسمٍ تَترُكُ العَقلَ واهِياً
For that of which you told about our meeting,
Were vain discourses that leave reason wandering.
