A beauty came to us, oh Thuriya, in its splendor
So in which ravine could I hide your beauty from it?
And oh, my delight - if they reach it with gossip
You would become imprisoned, unable to help yourself
And my delight is nothing but the army commander
You should go to him and question him
And prostrate yourself before him for my sake
That he may forgive my sin and have mercy on your plight
I swear by my Lord that if you meet with him
And touch that dust with your slippers
I would fling my love into his ropes
And my heart is squeezed, oh Thuriya, by your ropes
And deny what you say about my innocence
And confess my sins and refute your words
For your sake preserve your face’s water until
I meet doom, then do what suits you
