1. نَعَتِ السَحائِبُ وَالغَمامُ بِأَسرِها

    جَسَداً بِمَسكَنَ عارِيَ الأَوصالِ

    The clouds and all the mist mourn

    A body in a bare dwelling

  2. تُمسي عَوائِذَهُ السِباعُ وَدارُهُ

    بِمَنازِلٍ أَطلالُهُنَّ بَوالي

    The beasts make its refuge their own at night, and his abode

  3. رَحَلَ الرِفاقُ وَغادَروهُ ثاوِياً

    لِلريحِ بَينَ صَبا وَبَينَ شَمالِ
