1. وتُعْرَفُ إِنْ ضَلَّتْ فَتُهْدَى لِرَبِّهَا

    لِمَوْضِعِ آلاتٍ مِنَ الطَّلْحِ أَرْبَعِ

    She knows when she strays and is guided back

    To the place of four willow branches

  2. وتُؤْبَنُ مِنْ نَصِّ الهَواجِرِ والضحَى

    بِقِدْحَيْنِ فَازَا مِنْ قِدَاحِ المُقَعْقِعِ

    She is summoned at dawn and dusk

    By two striking flints that spark from flint stones

  3. عَلَيْهَا ولَمَّا يَبْلُغَا كُلَّ جَهْدِهَا

    وقَدْ أَشْعَرَاهَا في أَظَلٍّ ومَدْمَعِ

    Upon her, when they exert all their effort

    And kindle her in shade and tears
