  1. إذا لم أُصدِّقْ ظَنِّ كُلِّ مُؤَمِّلٍ

    ولم أحْمِ عِرْضي بالسَّماحةِ والبَذْلِ

  2. ولم أُطِع المعروفَ والبِرَّ والعُلا

    وأَعْصِ ذواتِ الحُسنِ والأَعُينِ النُّجْل

    And do not obey kindness, righteousness and supremacy

    And disobey the beautiful ones with charming eyes

  3. فلستُ ابنَ من عزَّت به كُلُّ دولةٍ

    ونجلَ النبيّ المصطفَى خاتَمِ الرُّسْل

    Then I am not the son of one all states took pride in

    And the grandson of the Chosen Prophet, the seal of messengers

  4. ولستُ أَعُدُّ الفضلَ فَضْلاً والعُلا

    إذا لم يَسُدَّ الخافِقين بها فِعْلِي

    And I do not consider merit a merit and supremacy

  5. وكم جاحِدٍ فَضْلِي لإسقاطِ فَضْله

    ذَوُو النَّقْصِ مذ كانوا أعادي ذوي الفضِل

    And how many deniers of my merit to drop his merit
