My body aches, and your love keeps me awake

Since the sickness of your glances makes me sick

    Those eyelids refuse the disease

A disease in which lies the health of beauty

Do you see them mixed with any sickness?

Or do you see them like a dream vision

Or do you see the humiliation of passion has mixed with them

So she complains of the injustice of the passionate lover

No blame lies on the intoxicated wine-pourer

For what his cheek shows of wine

If he saw the watcher's negligence one day

And his glances gestured with peace

Either renew its fetters with words

You've possessed me since possessing me, o people

So you are the Master of mankind

You are my Master beyond them, and they

Are my slaves, and passion is the slave of love
