1. إن الصَّبوح هو السرورُ بأَسِهِ

    وهْوَ اللذاذةُ والنعِيمُ الكامِلُ

    The dawn is sheer joy in its essence

    It is ultimate bliss and perfect felicity

  2. لا شيءَ اَحْسَنُ حينَ يَنْحَسِرُ الدُّجَى

    ويلوحُ لأْلاءُ النّهارِ الشّاملُ

    Nothing is more beautiful when the gloom recedes

    And the radiance of daylight emerges all-encompassing

  3. مِنْ أَن تُباكِرَ بالنَّدَامى قهوةً

    صفراءَ مِمّا عَتَّقَتْها بابِلُ

    Than to start your morning early with a coffee

    Golden brown from the bounty of Babylon

  4. خيرُ النهارِ شبابُه فارتع على ال

    لذّاتِ فيه إنَّهنّ رواحِلُ

    The prime of the day is its youth so graze

    On its pleasures for they soon flee

  5. سِيماء ساقٍ قد أتى مُتَقَرْطِقاً

    والجوُّ صافٍ والخطوبُ غوافلُ

    Especially a bare leg that saunters lissomely

    While the weather is clear and cares dormant

  6. والروضُ قد هَزّ النسيمَ رياحُه

    ومجونُنا قد غاب عنه العاذلُ

    And the meadow’s breeze shakes the flowers

    While from our fun the moralizer absconds
