ما نسيناكُمُ عَلَى كلِّ حالِ

لا ولا زِلْتُمُ حُضوراً ببالِي

We have not forgotten you at all

You are still present in my mind

فعَلاَمَ أتَّركْتُمُ حين غِبْنا

حِفْظَنا وافتقادَنا بالسُّؤالِ

Why did you leave us when we were absent

Our preservation and our inquiry after you

أَمَلِلتُمْ وِدادَنا فَسَلوتُمْ

تركُ تَسآلِكُمْ دليلُ المَلالِ

Have you become bored of our love so you asked

Your lack of asking is a sign of boredom

نحن راعون حافظون مُجازُو

نَ على الصَّدِّ منكُمُ بالوِصال

We are protectors and keepers who are rewarded

For the estrangement from you with connection

سوف نشكو إذا التَقَيْنا جَفَاكُمْ

لِهواكُمْ وَقَوْلَكمْ للِفعال

We will complain if we meet your aloofness

To your passion and your word to action
