زمنٌ منقضٍ وعمرٌ قصيرُ

زمنٌ منقضٍ وعمرٌ قصيرُ

وحياة الغُفُول عنه غرورُ

وحياة الغُفُول عنه غرورُ

Time is passing away, and a lifetime is brief;

the life of those heedless of its passing is but delusion.

فاتق الله إن أردت نجاة

فاتق الله إن أردت نجاة

إنّ تقوى الإله فوزٌ كبير

إنّ تقوى الإله فوزٌ كبير

So be mindful of God, if you seek salvation;

indeed, reverence for God is a great triumph.

أيّ خَلْقٍ يكون أنقصَ ممّن

أيّ خَلْقٍ يكون أنقصَ ممّن

ليس يدري لأيّ حال يصير

ليس يدري لأيّ حال يصير

What creature could be more deficient than one who

does not know what state he will come to?
