My two companions—is the Monastery of al-Qusayr what stirs me

to pure delight and gentleness of temper?

For I find myself, whenever I visit its grounds,

finding my ease there, my scattered self gathered whole.

Clouds—whenever the breeze shakes their backs—

their fragrance sets youthful infatuation upon its feet.
