He charmed the eye with the two beloved ones, being playful,
Cutting through the night with chirping and numbering,
Loyal on a bending branch, alluring to it
The gentle blowing winds, aiming and ascending.
His steps bent as he walked gently,
So the anklets were fascinated by their softness and jingled.
As if the ruby envied his eyelashes
In the beauty of their creation, so it reddened intensely.
A body like the dye of dusk wrapped around it
With silver that a craftsman used for the throat and necklace.
As if his legs were dyed by his blood
And the chosen necklace was imitated.
His dove cries, weary of yearning,
Repeating its voice, chirping repeatedly.
If it weren’t for him, happiness would not have met me
In the ruins of their homes, enlivening the ruins and deserts.
He cried so he made my eyelids overflow with tears
And renewed my weeping when he moaned again.
My friend, my friend, oh dove, let us weep
Until you moan and we cry bitterly.
Woe to the mother who gave birth to the free man whose grief
Increased the sorrow of Job and David.
