اُنظر إلى البِركةِ الغَنّاء مفعَمة
بالماءِ والشمسُ من حسنٍ تغامِزُها
Behold the singing pond brimming
With water, and the sun coquetting with its beauty,
والريح تلعب في أمواجها جَذَلا
فما تسالمها إلاّ تبارِزها
The wind playing with its waves impishly—
It salutes none but contests all.
والنبت قد حفّها من كل ناحيةٍ
بكل غصن أَنيقٍ فهو حائزها
And vegetation has ringed it on every side
With every elegant branch in its clasp.
كأنها بُسُط بِيض إذا برزت
للعين مخضرة منها فراوِزُها
It's like a white carpet when it appears
To the eye, green, with gems upon it.
