لو فُرِش المجلس بالدُرّ

نَضْداً وبالياقوت والتِّبْرِ

If the gathering were strewn with pearls

And with rubies and ambergris,

ما كان عن حسنِيَ مستغنِياً

لا خير في بيت بلا سِتْرِ

It would not make me self-sufficient, without my veil
