A rose lent its cheeks by the beauties,

And musk gifted it the breaths of its extraction.

As if the dew in it, a lover's tears

Were shed at dawn during the beloved's separation.

Surrounded by narcissuses of the meadow,

Its whiteness transcended over its creation.

Seeing the rose blossoming, it fell in love,

Bowed down astonished, and rose on its stalk.

We passed around cups of wine by its sides,

For the beauty of its reflection and fineness of its growth.

The languid-eyed stood with promise abundantly,

    Skilled in conversation and jesting.

He crowned his right with a cup of drink

And clasped his left palm with his ewer.

He poured and served a wine as if

It sets his cheeks aflame and the fruit's sipping is sweet.

He conversed with me through a speech as if

He picked from the garden's harvest a flower arranging.

A speech lined with threats, though it

Was gentle to me while death is the stuffing of our separation.
