A cup that turns hardship into ease, and reaps

The fruits of wealth for drinking from the tree of poverty

As if the whiteness of the cup above its redness

Is a sky of camphor sprinkled over embers

When the rich cupbearer shakes it, you would think it

The stars of Pleiades singing in the palm of the full moon

The blending inside creates integrated pearls

As drops of rain were written above the soil

Small and large in cups as if they

Were dots gathered in a line upon the wind

I kept company with my friends at dawn, when the darkness dispersed,

With the silver glimmer of dawn from the morning

And the whiteness of the stars blossomed as if they

Were necklaces of pearls upon the highest horizon
