يا أمينَ اللّهِ دعوةَ مَنْ

بك نال السُّؤْلَ والأَملاَ

O truthful servant of God, my call

Through you has attained requests and hope

نحن في لهوٍ وفي طَرَب

نَتَعاطَى صفوَه جُمَلا

We are in playfulness and rapture

Partaking of its pure goblets

وغناءٍ كالوصال إذا

لم يُكَدِّره الحبِيبُ بلا

And singing like union if

Not made bitter by the beloved at all

ونعيمٍ لانَ مَعطِفُه

قد تَردَّى الطِّيبَ واشتمَلا

And bliss for we are cloaked

In scent wafting, wrapped up

نَسْتَحِثُّ الراحَ مُثْمِلةً

ونَهزُّ العيشَ مُقْتبِلا

We quicken the zephyr, fruitful

And shake life, forward leaning

والصِّبا عَذْبُ المَذاق وإن

فَنَّدَ الّلاحي وإن عَذَلا

Youth’s taste is sweet even if

The cheek grew downy, reproaching

هَبْ لنا أيامَ عِيشتِنا

مُنْعما يا خيرَ مَنْ سُئِلا

Grant us our life’s days

Blessed, O best of those implored

وأْتنا في يومِ جُمْعتِنا

وليكْن بالسَّبْت متّصلا

And come to us on our gathering day

Connecting it to the Sabbath

قد سألتُ اللّه يمنحنِي

منك إقبالاً وقد فعلا

I asked God to grant me

Through you favor, and He did

عَمَرَ الرحمانُ ساحَتَنا

بكَ والأَيّامَ والدُّوَلا

The Merciful made our field

Thrive through you, the days, the epochs
