وراحٍ على الصّبا والعُقارِ
How many a short night have I spent
Strolling with the breeze and perfume
حيث أخلوا بما أُحِبّ من القَصْ
ف قليلَ الوقارِ لستُ أُداري
Where we were alone with the stories I love
Though not very dignified, I continued on
كم صبوحٍ شَدَدْته بغَبوقٍ
وظلامٍ وصلتُه بنهارِ
How many dawns have I hastened
With darkness and gloom, reaching daybreak
إنما العيشُ أن تروحَ عِشياً
قاصفاً عازِفاً خليعَ العذارِ
For life is but to wander one evening
Joyfully singing, shameless and bare
