Woe to me from the youth whose

Power lies in my two cheeks

My glances could not resist him

So my eyes complained to his eyes

He feigned the illness of a fearful lover

And blamed the censure of critics

    Then his eyes started overflowing

On his cheeks with two teardrops

As if on his cheek was gold

    Melting on embers

I drew him close and kissed him

And took my due from his cheeks

I had asked my tortured one

On the day we parted for two kisses

And hid them in his eyes

    Fearing the spying eyes

    He answered if you want

To pluck the fruits of my cheeks

Then pluck them despite the spies

    And envious eyes watching us
