  1. اليوم بان العنا عن كل إنسانِ

    بالشهم باسيليوسٍ حبر حورانِ

    Today the grace has been revealed to every human

    With the ink of the inspired Basilius

  2. واليوم أشرق نور العدل وانصرفت

    غياهب الجهل عن قاصٍ وعن دان

    And today the light of justice has shone and the

    Darknesses of ignorance have been dispelled from the judge and the supplicant

  3. واليوم بشت دمشق الشام وابتهجت

    بفاضلٍ ما له في الكون من ثان

    And today Damascus Levant has brought good tidings

    With a virtuous one who has no equal in existence

  4. راعٍ زكٍ طردت أغنام صريرته

    به الذئاب وأخزت كل شيطان

    A keeper, pure, whose bleating has expelled

    The wolves, and has taken every devil

  5. براه خالقه من نور حكمته ال

    باقي لتنوير هذا العالم الفاني

    His Creator has shown him the light of His wisdom

    Remaining to enlighten this fleeting world

  6. يحيى الرفات إذا فازت بمغفرةٍ

    منه وينقذها من موتها الثاني

    He brings the departed back to life when they attain

    Forgiveness from Him and saves them from their second death

  7. من شاء يرعى خراف اللَه آمنةً

    في صيرة اللَه من أنسٍ ومن جان

    Whoever wishes to shepherd God's sheep safely

    In God's fold, from intimacy and from strangeness

  8. يسير سيرك يا مولاي متشحاً

    بطاعة اللَه لا غافٍ ولا وان

    Walk in your path, my Master, cloaked

    In God's obedience, neither heedless nor wavering
