مات علم الفقه لما

مات جابيه محمد

The knowledge of jurisprudence died when

Its collector, Muhammad, passed away

أطيب الأبرار نفساً

وأجل الناس محتد

The most virtuous and purest of souls

And the greatest of men in resolve

يرحم اللَه إماماً

كان في العلم مفرد

May God have mercy on an Imam

Who was unique in his knowledge

يكره الشر ويختا

ر لنا الخير المؤبد

He disliked evil and chose

For us the everlasting good

أيها الناس إلام ال

صبر يبلى ويجدد

O people why do

Tears run out and are renewed

وإلام الدمع يهمي

وزفير الوجد يصعد

And why does weeping swell

And sighs of anguish ascend

وهو في مقعد صدقٍ

جاره المختار أحمد

While he is in an abode of truth

His neighbor, the Chosen One, Ahmad

أرخوه نعم جارٌ

في عليين مخلد

I sheltered him, an excellent neighbor

In the highest [Paradise] for eternity
