God did not create a sun like Hilana
Nor a land for the gazelles except her kingdom
Delicate in nature, though her glances
Are deadly with the swords of coquetry and temptation
He gave her the most splendid gardens of beauty
And so she became a paradise filled with charm
A carnation is her cheek, and her eyes are narcissi
Her cheek an apple, her breast a pomegranate
And oh, the beauty of her face and its abundance
As if she were a rose in the shade of sweet basil
One day I drew near to kiss her
And left the narcissi of her eyelids drowsy
But her anklet said to me “Beware approaching her”
Do you not see the watchfulness of the chambers’ guard?
