The nightingale and bulbul sing melodiously
With the murmuring stream beside the meadow
The garden is fragrant, a breeze blows gently
Swaying the juicy fruits on the palm’s bough
He who has captured my heart and soul
Remove the injustice, make peace I vow
Bring to me the maiden whose cheek
Like a ripe peach with dew beads endow
Give her from your sweet lips the honey
That if tasted even an infant would avow
Serve it to me in the flower gardens
From your cup where pure joy doth flow
