أكرم بأكرم حبرٍ من بني كرمِ

بنى لنا بيت باري الجود والكرمِ

The most generous with the most generous ink, from the generous people

أراد موسى مناجاة الإله به

فشاده باليد البيضاء كالعلم

Moses wanted to speak privately to God with it

So he illuminated it with the white hand like a flag

سبِّح به اللَه يا راجي مراحمه

واسفك دم الكبر واستصبح بخير دم

Glorify God with it, O you who hope for His mercy

And shed the blood of arrogance, and greet the morning with a good spirit

فما لمحوِ ذنوب المذنبين سوى

هذا الشراب الذي يُنجي من العدم

For nothing erases the sins of sinners except

This drink that saves from annihilation
