وبان عني رميما

O Lord, grant me endurance

أحبتي خالفوني

وخلَّفوني عديما

My loved ones opposed me

And left me destitute

ساروا لجلق لما

تبينوها نعيما

They journeyed to enjoy what

They thought was paradise

وعرَّصوا في رباها ال

لتي تزيل الهموما

And they reveled in its pastures

That dispel all worries

بغانيات تحاكي

نهودهن النجوما

With beauties that rival

The radiance of stars

يا ليتني كنت معْهم

أفوز فوزاً عظيما

I wish I were with them

To gain immense success
