    وصفا لنا ولجلق الدهرُ

    With joy we say the rain has fallen

    Describing for us a clear dawn and a new day

  2. وإذا نقولا زار مملكةً

    يزدارها الإقبال والبشر

    And whenever we say he visited a kingdom

    Prosperity and glad tidings flourished

  3. فهو الذي تعنو الرؤوس له

    والبيض والعسالة السمر

    He whose coming all heads bow to

    The fair, the dark, the young, the old

  4. بشراك سوريا بذي كرم

    في كل أنملة له بحر

    Greetings O Syria, so generous is he

    In every palm-width lies an ocean

  5. من سادةٍ كالزهر في شيمٍ

    أخلاقهم وجوههم غر

    Of nobles, their morals and faces like flowers

    Their character and countenance radiant

  6. فهم القياصرة الذين لهم

    بين الملوك النهي والأمر

    They are the Caesars whose command

    Kings obey, whose orders kings accept

  7. يا زائر البيت المقدس من

    فيه المكرس زارك الشكر

    O pilgrim to the holy shrine wherein lies

    The consecrated, you have our thanks

  8. لو كان يسعى قبله حرمٌ

    وافى إليك جموده عذر

    If it were permitted, the holy precincts

    Would come to you, absolving you of the journey

  9. دامت لك الأيام باسمةً

    ما دامت السيارة الزهر

    May his name bring you auspicious days

    As long as stars continue to shine

  10. وبقيت بدراً من منازله ال

    معروفة المعروف والفخر

    And may you remain a full moon among

    The constellations, known for its grace and glory
