قد انْحنَى الشيخُ لعُظْمِ الذي

حُمِّلَ مِن ذَنْبٍ له قد سَعَى

The old man bent from the weight

Of sins he strove for and went straight.

كأنما سلَّم من فَرْحةٍ

على رسولِ الموتِ إذ وَدَّعَا

As though down steps of bliss he moved

To the Messenger of Death who called and proved.
