غَطَّتْ بساعِدٍ كماءٍ يجْرِي

وَجْهاً يفُوق الوَرْدَ تبَّ القَطْرِ

Covered by a sleeve like running water

A face surpassing rose watered by drops

كبدرِ تَمٍ عند نصفِ شَهْرِ

غاب وقد لاحَ عَمودُ الفَجْرِ

Like a full moon at mid month

It disappeared though the pillar of dawn appeared
