أفدي الذي بالأمس ودعني

وسرت به في البحر جارية

سوداء يسبق سيرها الشهبا

I walked with him in the black sea

With shooting stars leading our way

لوأن حكم البحر طوع يدي

لأخذت كل سفينة غصبا

If I could control the sea by my will

I would seize every ship by force
