يَا وَجْنَةَ الوردِ وَصُدْغ الدُّجَى
وطلعةَ البدرِ وقَدَّ القَضِيبْ
Rose garden blushing in the dusk
Moon rising, slender wand of dawn held high
مَنْ تَوَّجَ الغصنَ بشمسِ الضُّحَى
وَأنْبَتَ الريحانَ فَوْقَ اللَّهِيبْ
Who crowned these boughs with morning’s corona
And bade sweet basil bloom in flames drawn nigh
