للخلق من قبل الإله المرسل
I congratulate you on seeing the grave of Taha the Messenger
Sent by God to people before the Sending God
ولكيف أنك قد شهرت بمدحه
بين الورى فاجهر بذاك وأجمل
And how you have become famous in praising him
Among people, so proclaim it and make it more beautiful
والزم مديح جنابه بتوسل
واقصد موائد فضله بتطفل
And stick to praising his glory with supplication
And seek the banquets of his grace with imposition
واعلم بأنك وارد بحر السندى
فامدد يديك بدلو فقرك وانهل
And know that you have come to an ocean of generosity
So extend your hands with the bucket of your poverty and draw water
وأنح مطي مناك في باب الرجاء
واسأل بجاه المصطفى وتوسل
And set free at his door the camel of hope
And ask through the status of Al-Mustafa and plead
ألاشرف السنى الأعز المرتجىء
الأعظم الأسمى النبي المرسل
O the noblest traits, the most honorable sought
The greatest name, the sent prophet
الأرفع الأزكى الصفي المنتقى
الأشفع الأوفى الكفي الأكفل
The highest, the purest, the chosen intimate
The most interceding, faithful, all-protecting
الأروع الأتقى البشير المرتضى
الأروع الأحمى الخفي الأجمل
The most wondrous, pious, herald, beloved
The most compassionate, passionate, hidden beauty
الأصعد الأرقى النذير المقتضى
الأمجد الأهدى الإمام الأفضل
The most ascendant, devoted, warner, necessitated
The most glorious, guiding, imam, superior
الأظهر الأسرى الحيبيب المصطفى
الأطهر الأزكى الإمام الأكمل
The most manifest, nocturnal, beloved, chosen
The purest, most chaste, perfect imam
سر الوجود المحضى بين الأصطفا
بدر النجوم الزهر صدر المحفل
The secret of existence, the beloved among the chosen
The full moon of stars, the blossom of the assembly
إكسير كنز المجد شمس ضحى العلا
إنسان عين الوجود ليث الجحفل
The elixir of the treasure of glory, the sun of the morning glow
The essence of existence, the lion of the battlefield
عقد النهى كاس الصفا ورحيمه
تاج البها عقد الطراز الأول
The necklace of glory, the chalice of purity, its tenderness
The crown of brilliance, the leader of creation
كهف الرجا وسط عقود الإلتجا
بحر الندى خصب الزمان الممحل
The cave of hope amid arcs of submission
The sea of generosity, the fertile age of trial
لولاه ما كان الوجود بأسره
كلا ولا علم الخفي ولا الجلي
Without him, the whole existence would not have been
No, neither knowledge of the hidden nor manifest
لا جود إلا من أنامله نشا
لا حسن إلا وهو فيه ينجلي
No generosity but from his fingers gushed forth
No beauty but through him came to light
فهو الجلاء إذا تراكم حادث
وهو الشفاء من السقام المعضل
So he is the clarity when misfortune accumulates
And he is the cure from the incurable disease
وهو الكريم على الكريم فلذ به
تكفى الأذى وتنال خير منول
And he is the generous even to the generous so hold fast to him
To spare from harm and attain the best state
ذو المعجز الباقي الذي بهر الورى
بمفصل من آية وبمجمل
Of wondrous miracle remaining, dazzling creation
With articulated sign and in brief
من سبح الصلد الإله بكفه
وبكفه قد فاض نبع المسلسل
Who clapped with his palms so the eternal God gushed water
And with his palms the flowing spring flowed
من أشبع الجيش الكثير بصاعه
ولعسه روى عطاش القسطل
Who satisfied a great army with his bowl
Perhaps his saliva quenched the thirst of Qistal
من شد من سغب الصيام وطوله
كشحا لطيفا تحت صم الجندل
Who pulled the bowstring of fasting and its length
As a fine bow under the pressing of Jandal
من قام يحيى ليلة حتى اشتكت
قدماه من ضر القيام الأطول
Who stood in prayer till his feet complained
Of the pain of lengthy standing
من راودته الشم من ذهب فلم
يعبأ بزخرف عينها المتحول
Whom the sun sought made of gold but he cared not
For the ornament of its fickle eye
ألبدر في نصفين شق لأجله
في ظلمة الليل البهيم الألبل
The full moon split for his sake
In the darkness of ignorant night
والشاة أنبأه الذراع بسمها
والضب خاطبه بأفصح مقول
The ewe told him of her forearm when he named her
And the young camel conversed with him most eloquently
والغيم ظلله ودان لأمره
وبأمره جاد الحيا للأمل
The clouds shaded him and obeyed his command
And by his command, rain poured generously
والنخل جاءت حوله تمشي على
ساق بلا قدم بغير تمهل
The palm trees came around him walking without
Feet or legs, without haste
والجدل عاد مهندا في كفه
والجذع حن له حنين المثكل
The skin turned back, meek in his palm
The trunk inclined with the mourning of a bereaved mother
والذئب أنبأ عنه للراعي كما
شهد الوليد بصدقه في المحفل
The wolf told the shepherd of him as
Al-Walid testified to his truthfulness in the assembly
والشمس أوقفها وأرجع قرصها
للعير أو لصلاة ذي الهيجاء الولي
The sun he halted and held back its disc
For the caravan or the prayer of Thi Hijja the Loyal
وكفى البعير من الأذى لما شكى
والفحل ذل له ولم يتفحل
It sufficed the camel from harm when it complained
And the stallion submitted to him without conceit
وبلمسه درت عناق لم تلد
أبدا ولم تانس لفحل منزل
With his touch流ed pure milk never yielded
By a cow, nor known to a stallion before
وبضربة هدا الكثيب وقد عصى
عن هد محتكم بضرب المعول
With one hit he guided the obstinate dune
Disobeying the guide with stroke of spade
وأعاد شق خبيب بالريق الذي
أبرا به في خيبر عيني علي
He returned the gaze of Khabib with saliva
By which he cured in Khaibar Ali's eyes
وأعاد عين قتادة من بعدما
قلعت فكانت خير عين مجتلي
He returned the eye of Qatadah after
It was plucked, the best eye to adorn
ويد ابن عفراء ردها ببصاقه
من بعدما نصلت كأن لم تنصل
He restored the hand of son of 'Afra with his spittle
After it was cut as if never detached
ودعا خديجة فوزها بزواجه
فيه غدت تدعى بأفخر مبعل
He invoked Khadeejah, so she won his marriage
Through which she came to be called the sublime consort
وأعز عائشة وبرأها من ال
إفك الذي في حقها لم يقبل
He honored Aisha and cleared her of false blame
That was not acceptable regarding her
وأرى صفية صدقها لما رأت
في حجرها قمر المعالي ينجلي
He showed Safiyyah his truth when she saw
The moon of glory clear in her lap
ودعا حليمة سعدها لرضاعه
أكرم بها من مرضع أو مكفل
He invoked Halimah, gladdening her for nursing him
The most generous in feeding and sheltering
ودعالمن تحت الكساء فآمنت
أسكفه الباب الحصين المقفل
He invoked who were under the cloak, so they believed
Shaded by the mighty, impenetrable veil
ودعا لسلمان وأعطاه قبو
رك في الذي أعطاه من عين الحل
He invoked for Salman and gave him the key
Of his intimacy, the most precious gift to give
ودعا على كسرى فمزق ملكه
فاليوم لا كسرى لعين مؤمل
He invoked against Chosroes, shattering his kingdom
So no Chosroes is hoped for today
ودعا عن آبن قمنّة بقماءة
فرماه عنز الشاة من جبل عل
He invoked for Ibn Umm Maktoom with a shirt
So a goat threw it to him from Mount Al
وأبان على موت النجاشي الذي
صلى عليه صلاة من لم يهمل
He informed of the death of Negus who
Prayed over him who would not neglect
وأبان عما كان أو هو كائن
لحذيقة البر الصدوق الأعدل
He informed of all that was or will transpire
For the adept, the truthful, the just
يا كم وقى من عاهة ببصاقه
ولكم كفى من صائل بالمنصل
O how he cured many a chronic disease with his spittle
And how he warded many a danger with the sword
ولكم أعد الملح عذبا ريقه
وبريقه يا ما شفى من معضل
How much did his pure saliva turn bitter water sweet
And his spittle cure convoluted complexities
من جاءه جبريل يدعوه إلى
أعلى المنازل عند مولاه العلي
Whoever came to him, Gabriel called him
To the highest station with his Supreme Lord
فسرى من البيت العتيق مكرما
للمسجد الأقصى لأرفع معتلي
So he traveled from the Sacred House nobly
To farthest mosque, the highest ascendant
وبالأنبيا والرسل والأملاك قد
صلى صلاة الشكر للباري الولي
And prayed with the prophets, messengers and angels
The prayer of gratitude to the Patron Lord
ورقى على السبع الطباق لمستوى
فيه رأى وجه الإله المفضل
And he ascended the seven layers to the station
Where he saw the face of God, the Favored
ودنا فكان كقاب قوسين أو
كأدنى رتبة بسواه لم تتأهّل
And came near, a bow's length or closer
To the degree no one else has managed to reach
أوحى إليه في مقام القرب ما
أوحى إليه من مجمل ومفصل
Revelation was revealed showing him the fullness
Of summarized and detailed in his state of nearness
وسقاه راح الوصل في كاس الهناء
ومحاه عنه فكان المجتلى
He was quenched with the drink of union in the cup of bliss
And veils were lifted for the intimate
وسرى وعاد لبيته في حينه
والليل لم يجنح ولم يتمل
He traveled and returned to his house in time
As night had not bent, nor changed
وبساحة البطحاء أصبح مخبرا
عما رآه من خفيّ أوجلي
And in the morning, he told of the unseen
He had seen, manifest and hidden in Saha
وبطعنته أردى أبيا عندما
قد ظن جهلا أنه لم يقفل
With his strike did Abiya fall back when
He ignorantly thought the door was not locked
وبنحسمة قد عاد شارب جابر
اسرى وأيسر من صبا أو شمأل
With a fleck of saliva, Jabir's mustache turned
Darker and straighter than youth or perfumed oil
وبمحه أضحت لعائد غرة
أبهى وأبهر من هلال معتلى
With his wiping did Taahir's face after returning
From travel appear more radiant than the crescent moon
وبنضح ماء في محيا زينب
حازت جمالا جل عن مستجمل
With sprinkling water on Zainab's face
وبلمسه أخضر اليبس وأزهرت
أفنانه للناظر المأمل
She gained beauty beyond the imaginable
With his touch, the infertile land turned green
والغفار عز به وقد أخفاه عن
كيد العدو الكافر المتمحل
And its boulevards blossomed for the onlooker
Al-Ghafar triumphed through him when hidden
والصدق فيه قال للصديق إلا
تحزن فإن الله ليس بمخذل
From the cunning enemy and wretched foe
Truth manifested when he told Abu Bakr
جاء العدو بكيده ليؤذه
فأعيد مدحورا لأخيب موثل
"Do not grieve, for God is not forgetful"
The enemy came with his cunning to harm him
حاروا عليه لنسج العنكبوت إذ
باض الحمام فخاب كل مضلل
But returned frustrated, disappointed in evil
They schemed to cover him with spider web but then
صموا وعنه عموا وقد غشاه ما
غشّاه من ستر الإله المسبل
Pigeons laid eggs foiling each misguided one
Deaf and blind to him, though he was clothed
ووقاية المولى وقته فأكتفى
عن عسكر يحميه أو عن معقل
By divine cover and mantle extended
And protected by his Patron at times so sufficed
ولوضعه غاضت بحيرة ساوة
وخفى تلهبها كأن لم يشعل
Without army to guard him or fortress
The lake of Sawa receded for his birth
وارتج إيوان المجوس مسرة
لظهور نجم في العلا مكمل
And its boiling was hidden as if never ignited
And the palace of the Magi trembled in joy
ولأمه ضاء الشام وقد أتت
بمطهر ومسرر ومكحل
For the appearance of a star in the height
His mother shone light announcing one who
وابان عنه بحيرة لما رأى
ما قد رآه لعمه المتكفل
Would purify, gladden and apply kohl
The lake informed of him when it saw
وأبان نسطور ببصرى عنه ما
ألقاه كل معدل لمعدّل
What his caring uncle had seen
And Nestorius with insight told of him
والجن والكهان أنبوا عنه ما
شهدت به كتب الإله المنزل
Though discounted by each unjust applier
The jinn and fortunetellers foretold of him
والنبت والأشجار الأحجار قد
صلو عليه صلاة من لم يبخل
As testified in the sent divine scriptures
Vegetation, trees, rocks prayed over him
بدر ولا كالبدر فيه تكلف
غيث ولا كالغيث إن لم يهطل
A prayer not stinted by the withholder
He came whom Gabriel would call to
يقضان قلب إن غفت أجفانه
هتان كف في الزمان الممحل
The highest stations with his Supreme Lord
So he traveled nobly from the Ancient House
من لم يدانيه الذباب نحوها
لجناب عزته الذي لم يكهل
To the Farthest Mosque, the highest ascendant
And prayed with the prophets, messengers and angels
من لم يكن ظل لقامته إذا
ما اهتزّ عن عطف رطيب أميل
The grateful prayer to the Patron Lord
He ascended through the heavens and came near
من قاد للهيجا ليوثا غابها
بيض الصفاح وزرق سمر ذبل
Two bows' length or nearer to his Munificent Lord
Revelation was revealed of summarized and detailed
ورمى بكف من تراب أوجها
شاهت لرمي ترابهه المتجندل
In his state of nearness and intimacy
He was quenched with the drink of union from the cup of bliss
وأتاه جبريل الأمين بعصبة
من حزب أملاك المليك المرسل
And veils were lifted for the fulfilled
He traveled and returned to his home on time
وأحاط بالأعدا وقسّم جمعهم
ما بين مأسور وبين مجندل
While night had not bent nor changed
And in the morning he told of the unseen
في معرك مطرت يحاب حمامه
بصواعق ويوارق وتزلزل
He had seen, manifest or hidden in Saha
With his stab did Abiya fall back when
خلى عقيلا في عقال عذابه
ودحا أبا جهل لأبعد مجهل
He ignorantly thought the door was not locked

ودعا أميتهم أليم الخزي إذ
ألقى عبيدة في الحضيض الأسفل

إني وجدت فهل وحدتم ما به
مولاي وعدني من الأمر الجلي

سل عنه بدرا أو فسل أحدا وسل

تلقاه إذ لا قوه قايل جزبهم
فاستعقبوا الأدبار للمستقبل

فترى الغضنفر بين قرني يذبل

في فتية إن رمت تسأل عنهم
فهم حماة الحي خصب المصحل
Truth manifested when he told Abu Bakr

ألبائعون نفوسهم في الله إن
حمي الوطيس وصال كل مضلل
The enemy came with his cunning to harm him
But returned frustrated, disappointed in evil
الناصرون الملة البيضاء ومن
يك ناصرا دين الهدى لم يخذل
They schemed to cover him with spider web but then
Pigeons laid eggs foiling each misguided one
ألملبسون البيض ثوب دم العدا
ألسالبون بها حشا المتسربل
Deaf and blind to him, though he was clothed
By divine cover and mantle extended
المنزفون دم العداة بأحرف
رقمت بأقلام الرماح الذبل
And protected by his Patron at times so sufficed
Without army to guard him or fortress
المودعون السرم في صم الكلى
ألواضعون البيض وسط المقتل

الكاشفون الكرب من كشف الوغى
عن ساقه وامتد ليل القسطل
And the palace of the Magi trembled in joy

المصطلون الحرب إن هي اضرمت
ودعت إلي إليّ يا من يصطلي
His mother shone light announcing one who
Would purify, gladden and apply kohl
فهم الكرام الغر أرباب الندى
والباس عن عار وعن متزمّل
The lake informed of him when it saw
What his caring uncle had seen
خير الورى بعد النبيين الأولى
أكرم بهم من آخر أو أول
And Nestorius with insight told of him
Though discounted by each unjust applier
من مثل شيخ الصدق بعد محمد
أو مثل فاروق المعالي الأشمل
The jinn and fortunetellers foretold of him

أو مثل ذي النورين في عليائه
أو مثل باب مدينة العليا علي

وكابن عوف والأمين الأفضل

أو مثل عميه وسبطيه وباقي
الصحب والأزواج في الفخر العلي
So he traveled nobly from the Ancient House
To the Farthest Mosque, the highest ascendant
هم سادة شرفوا بصحبته فلذ
بجنابهم واسأل بهم وتوسّل
And prayed with the prophets, messengers and angels
The grateful prayer to the Patron Lord
من ذا يضاهيهم سنا أو رفعة
وهم النجوم الزهر في الأفق العلي
He ascended through the heavens and came near
Two bows' length or nearer to his Munificent Lord
زويت له الدنيا فعاينها وقد
بلغت عساكره بما قضيّ منزّل
Revelation was revealed of summarized and detailed
In his state of nearness and intimacy
وأشار يوم الفتح للأصنام أن
زولي فزالت للقصاء المنزل
He was quenched with the drink of union from the cup of bliss
And veils were lifted for the fulfilled
وأجار في الوادي الغزالة إذ شكت
فغدت تقول مقال حق فيصل
He traveled and returned to his home on time
While night had not bent nor changed
وأنيل خمسا لم ينلها غيره
يا حبذا من نائل ومنوّل
And in the morning he told of the unseen
He had seen, manifest or hidden in Saha
الله شرفه بخير رسالة
والله خصّصه بأعظم منزل
With his stab did Abiya fall back when
He ignorantly thought the door was not locked
وأتاه ما لم يؤته أحد سوا
ه من الكرام المرسلين الكمل

لم يؤت داع قبل طه معجز
إلا ونال أبر أو كالأول

وجميعهم قد أصبحوا في بحره
نقطا بسيل أو ندى في منهل
With sprinkling water on Zainab's face
وعليه في الحشر اعتمادهم ومن
معناه نالوا كل وصف أكمل

وإليه يعزى نورهم وبسرّه
أضحوا مظاهر كل معنى أشمل
And its boulevards blossomed for the onlooker
Al-Ghaafar triumphed through him when hidden
إن كان آدم قد سما بأبوّة
فهو ابن أحمد في الزمان الأول
From the cunning enemy and wretched foe
Truth manifested when he told Abu Bakr
أو كان نوح قد علا في فلكهع
فلقد كفى المختار كل مضلل
"Do not grieve, for God is not forgetful"
The enemy came with his cunning to harm him
أو قد نجا إبراهيم من نمروده
فلقد كفى المختار كل مضلل
But returned frustrated, disappointed in evil
They schemed to cover him with spider web but then
أو في الصفا انبجست لموسى أعين
فبكف طه فاض نبع السلسل
Pigeons laid eggs foiling each misguided one
Deaf and blind to him, though he was clothed
أو أن داود لابن حديدهُ
فلرجل أحمد لان صمّ الجندل
By divine cover and mantle extended
And protected by his Patron at times so sufficed
أو أنعش الميت المسيح فكم له
نطقت جمادات بأفصح مقول
Without army to guard him or fortress

أو أرسل الكرام لقومهم
فمحمد للخلق أرسله العلي
And its boiling was hidden as if never ignited
And the palace of the Magi trembled in joy
هذا هو الشرف الذي لا يعله
شرف على شرف البدور الكمل
For the appearance of a star in the height
His mother shone light announcing one who
هذا هو الذكر الصحيح فلا تجد
عنه وإن شئت الحديث فسلسل
Would purify, gladden and apply kohl
The lake informed of him when it saw
هذا هو الفخر الذي لا تحصه
والبحر لا يحصى بنزح المكتمل
What his caring uncle had seen
And Nestorius with insight told of him
والله والذكر الحكيم وما حوى
من آية غرا وقول فيصل
Though discounted by each unjust applier

لو أن أفلاك السماء وأرضها
درج عريض ذو امتداد أطول
As testified in the sent divine scriptures
Vegetation, trees, rocks prayed over him
وجميع ماء قد جرى أو سح من
آفاقه مثل المداد الأكحل
A prayer not stinted by the withholder
He came whom Gabriel would call to
والنبت أقلام وكل الخلق تس
رع في الكتابة بالكلام المجمل
The highest stations with his Supreme Lord
So he traveled nobly from the Ancient House
من أول الدنيا لغاية أمرها
في وصف أحمد ذي الأيادي الهمل
To the Farthest Mosque, the highest ascendant
And prayed with the prophets, messengers and angels
لم تنحصر آيات يس الذي
بالفتح خص وسورة المزمل
The grateful prayer to the Patron Lord

بشرى لنا يا أمة الهادي بما
نلناه من كرم الكريم المفضل
Two bows' length or nearer to his Munificent Lord

لما دعا الداعي أجبناه ولم
تجنح مسامعنا لقول العذل
In his state of nearness and intimacy
He was quenched with the drink of union from the cup of bliss
فليكف أنا خير أمة أخرجت
للناس إذ لذنا باشرف مرسل
And veils were lifted for the fulfilled
He traveled and returned to his home on time
ما لي وللدنيا وزخرفها غدا
مثل الطلال الزائر المترحل
While night had not bent nor changed
And in the morning he told of the unseen
دنيا متى أضحكت أبكت ومه
ما أقبلت ولت كأن لم تقبل
He had seen, manifest or hidden in Saha
With his stab did Abiya fall back when
وإذا صفت هاجت بتكدير وإن
هشت رضا ولت كأن لم تفعل
He ignorantly thought the door was not locked
With a fleck of saliva, Jabir's mustache turned
أو إن سقت عذبا تغص بشربه
أو إن أطعمت قتلت بذاك المأكل
Darker and straighter than youth or perfumed oil
With his wiping did Taahir's face after returning
تبا لها من غادر من شأنها
أن لا تفي لمحبها المتوغّل
From travel appear more radiant than the crescent moon
يا نفس كم تبدين صحبة فاجر
وتبارزي المولى بفعل مخجل
With sprinkling water on Zainab's face
She gained beauty beyond the imaginable
يا نفس لم لا تنهين جهالة
عن فعلك الفعل القبيح الأرذل
With his touch, the infertile land turned green
And its boulevards blossomed for the onlooker
يا نفس توبي واقلعي وتندمي
وتخضعي وتخشّعي وتذلّلي
Al-Ghaafar triumphed through him when hidden
From the cunning enemy and wretched foe
وبما دمعك فاغسلي درن الحشا
فالثوب لا يبض ما لم يغسل
Truth manifested when he told Abu Bakr
"Do not grieve, for God is not forgetful"
سودت وجهك بالذنوب سفاهة
أما تخجلين لما جرى تخجي
The enemy came with his cunning to harm him
But returned frustrated, disappointed in evil
كيف احتيالك إن دعيت وما الذي
تبديه يا زلاه مهما تسأل
They schemed to cover him with spider web but then
Pigeons laid eggs foiling each misguided one
أأمنت مكر الله أم لم تؤمني
بالبعث للعرض المهول المذهل
Deaf and blind to him, though he was clothed
By divine cover and mantle extended
ألموت أقرب غائب مستنظر
فتأهبي للقائه وتأهلي
And protected by his Patron at times so sufficed
Without army to guard him or fortress
فنذيره وافاك يدعوكي فلا
تستهزئي وعلى الرحيل فعولي

And its boiling was hidden as if never ignited
وحذار من دنياك إن عذبيها
ملح وحلو طعامها كالحنظل
And the palace of the Magi trembled in joy
For the appearance of a star in the height
فاستبدلي الدنيا بأخراك التي
هي أحسن الدارين للمستبدل
His mother shone light announcing one who
Would purify, gladden and apply kohl
وإذا نبا بك منزل فتنقلي
فالسر في السكان لا في المنزل
The lake informed of him when it saw
What his caring uncle had seen
أو ما كفاك نذير شيب شبّ من
إنذاره جمر الفؤاد المشعل
And Nestorius with insight told of him
Though discounted by each unjust applier
ألشيّب أعظم منذر فتشبثي
بلزوم تقواك إلى أن ترحلي
The jinn and fortunetellers foretold of him
As testified in the sent divine scriptures
إن الطريق شطيطة فتزودي
لا تقلعي عن زادك لا تغفلي
Vegetation, trees, rocks prayed over him
A prayer not stinted by the withholder
وإذا أردت الزاد فلتستلزمي
مدح الحبيب فإنه نعم الولي
He came whom Gabriel would call to
The highest stations with his Supreme Lord
وهو النجاة لمن توسل باسمه
وهو العاد لمادح متبتّل
So he traveled nobly from the Ancient House
To the Farthest Mosque, the highest ascendant
وهو الشفيع إذا تضارخت الورى
من هول يوم بالمخاوف اليل
And prayed with the prophets, messengers and angels
The grateful prayer to the Patron Lord
وتراهم سكرى وما هم أن ترى
سكرى ولكن للعذاب الأطول
He ascended through the heavens and came near
Two bows' length or nearer to his Munificent Lord
في يوم تذهل كل مرضعة وتص
بح شيبا رضعاه أم المطفل
Revelation was revealed of summarized and detailed
In his state of nearness and intimacy
وتحط ذت الحمل فيه حملها
وترى العقول تموج موج مخلخل
He was quenched with the drink of union from the cup of bliss
And veils were lifted for the fulfilled
وترى نفوس الخلق تغدو شردا
للهول تشريد النعام الحفل
He traveled and returned to his home on time
While night had not bent nor changed
والشمس دانية وهامات الورى
تغلى بحمرتها كغلي المرجل
And in the morning he told of the unseen
He had seen, manifest or hidden in Saha
وجثث علىالركب الخلائق كلهم
للهيب نار أسعرت بتشعل
With his stab did Abiya fall back when
He ignorantly thought the door was not locked
والناس بالعرق المسبسب ألجموا
وعقولهم ذهلت لأمر مذهل
With a fleck of saliva, Jabir's mustache turned
Darker and straighter than youth or perfumed oil
وأطيرت الصحف التي في طيها
عمل الأخير من الورى والأول
With his wiping did Taahir's face after returning
From travel appear more radiant than the crescent moon
فيقول بعضهم لبعض أنظروا
من نلتمسه لكشف هذا المعضل
With sprinkling water on Zainab's face
فيؤمون أبا الورى يدعونه
قميا أبا الورى تشفع لنا وتفضل
She gained beauty beyond the imaginable
With his touch, the infertile land turned green
فيقول لست لها ولكن إذهبوا
للمجتبي نوح النبي الأصول
And its boulevards blossomed for the onlooker
Al-Ghaafar triumphed through him when hidden
فيسارعون له فيرشدهم إلى
موسى الكليم الأريحيّ الأفضل
From the cunning enemy and wretched foe
Truth manifested when he told Abu Bakr
فيعرجون فيهديهم إلى
عيسى المسيح الطاهر المتبتل
"Do not grieve, for God is not forgetful"
The enemy came with his cunning to harm him
فيحلقون به فيدعوهم الا
لوذوا بأحمد فهو غوث الأمل
But returned frustrated, disappointed in evil
They schemed to cover him with spider web but then
فيبادرون له وكل يرتجي
منه الشفاة عند مولاه العلي
Pigeons laid eggs foiling each misguided one
Deaf and blind to him, though he was clothed
وجيمعهم يدعوه قم واشفع لنا
يا مصطفى يا مرتضى يا معتلي
By divine cover and mantle extended
And protected by his Patron at times so sufficed
فيقول أحمد عند ذاك أنا لها
وأنا لها ولكل هول أهيل
Without army to guard him or fortress
The lake of Sawa receded for his birth
يأتي لساق العرش يسجد تحته
بتضرع وتخشّع وتبتّل
And its boiling was hidden as if never ignited
And the palace of the Magi trembled in joy
ويناشد الرحمن يسأل فضله
في فصل عرض بالقضاء موكل
For the appearance of a star in the height
ويقول أنت وعدتني بشفاعة
تسع الورى يا ذا النول الأجزل
والأمر أمرك يا كريم فوف لي
فالوعد منك بما أرجيه مل
فإذا الندا أرفع وسل تعطى المنى
واشفع تشفع أنت غوث المبتلي
فاليوم ليس بذي ركوع لا ولا
هوذ سجود يا حبيبي المرسل
فوكبريائي لأقسمن اليوم ما
بيني وبينك بالطريق الأعدل
فتقول أنت شفاعتي يا مرتجى
وأنا أنادي رحمتي يا من بلي
يا مهجتي لا تيأسي من رحمة
وسعت جميع الخلق باغ أو ولي
واستمطري رحمى الكرمي لعل أن
يعروك وسميّ القبول أو الولي
وإذا الذنوب تعاظمت استغفري
فالعفو أعظم من ذنوب من ابتلي
ولتعلمي أن المسيء إذا التجا
تنجيه رحمى المحسن المتفضل
أو ليس قد قال الكريم لأحمد
نبئ عبادي فابشري وتهلّلي
يا أكرم الرسل الكرام ومن على
عليائه بعد الإله توكلي
ما فوق مدحك غاية اسمر لها
إلا القبول فلا تخيب واقبل
وبما يفي مدح الورى من بعدما
وافى مديحك في الكتاب المنزل
ومديح مثلي عن صفاتك قاصر
والصمت عند العجز مدح المقول
لكنني يممت بابك قارعا
بتطفل وتملق وتوسل
فاقبل مديحي واولني خير الجزا
يا خير مسؤول وخير مؤمل
نظمي لوصف علاك فيه عجائب
وغرائب أربت عن المتأمل
وإذا أحدّث عنك أتحف سامعي
بمصحّح وبمرسل ومسلسل
ووحق روضتك الشريفة أنني
أبدا أهيم بحب ذاك الهيكل
وتهزني نسمات بانات النقى
فأهيم ما بين الصبا والشمأل
ويميلني الحادي لبان ما انثنى
إلا ليسمع لحن ذاك البلبل
ويشوقني وادي العقيق تولها
عجبا لذاك وهو عين تخيّلي
ويروقني ذكر العذيب وإنه
نطقي بوصف جبينك المتهلّل
ويلذّ لي عتب سويكنة اللما
فأقابل العتبى بسميع مقبل
وتريحني أرواح مغناك التي
هبت فصح بها سقيم تعللي
فهل الزمان يعيدني لمعاهد
عهدي بها مثل الربيع المقبل
وأحن من ظمإ لوادي المنحنى
وأشم عرف بهارها والمنزل
واسير بين خزامه وعواره
وأعود منه بزرنب وقرنفل
وارى المخصب والإبطيح والحمى
وأمر في الوادي بشعب بني على
وأسير من باب السلام مسلما
تسليم صب للتراب مقبل
وأصير في الحرم الشريف مؤمنا
وارى لليلى في الغلائل تنجلي
وأميط برقعها وألثم خالها
وأقول ويل للشجي من الخلي
وأقول للاحي على اللثم اتّئد
فاللثم في خال المليحة لذلي
وأطوف بالأركان أسبوعا وفي
ذاك المقام أقيم ورد تنفل
وأجيل في المسعى جواد تملق
جادت محاجره بسحب هطل
وأزيل في الخيف المخوف وجنتي
بمنى ثمار منى تروق المجتلي
ويصوغ في عرفات عرف العفو عن
ماض من الأوزار أو مستقبل
وأميل أعناق المطي موجها
لمخيم الإحسان والحسن الجلي
وتحفني أتوار معنى طيبة
فأهيم بالمعنى القديم الأول
وأنيخ من باب السلام وكائبي
وأحطّ في أكناف طيبة محملي
وأعفر الوجنات في عرصاتها
وأرشّ تربتها بدمعي المرسل
وأزور أشرف بقعة فيها ثوى
من حل في العليا أعلى منزل
وأقول يا طه السلام عليك من
دنف بحبك مادح متطفل
إني أتيتك ظالما مستغفرا
أخشى الذنوب وأرتجي عفو الولي
وقرعت بابك كي أكون ممتعا
بأبر مرباع وأعذب منهل
وأصير جارا للحبيب ومن يكن
جار الحبيب فقدره القدر العلي
حاشا ندى يده الذي عم الورى
أن لا يحقق مدحك المتطفل
أو أن يضيق نطاقه عن قاصد
وافى إليه بفاقة وتذلل
فله التجأت وهل يضام من التجا
لفتى المكارم والكرام الكمل
وبه سألت وهل يخيب سائل
نادى بجاه المصطفى المتفضل
وبه انتصرت على البغاة ومن يكن
مستنصرا بجنابه لا يخذل
حسبي به درع حصين مانع
من رشق نبل بالنكال منصل
وليكف أني قد أمنت بمدحه
من سطوة الخطب البهيم الأقتل
يا رب يا ذا المن والطول الذي
عم الوجود بجوده المسترسل
يا من يرى الدر المهيمن إذا مشى
تحت النجوم بجنح ليل اليل
ويرى ترقرق دمعه في جفنه
ويرى مواقع مشيبه بالأرجل
ويرى دماه في بطون عروقه
ويرى مناط أوصاله بالمفصل
ويرى ويسمع ما بدا أو ما خفى
من صامت أو ناطق متشكل
يا محصي الأنفاس مهما صعت
أو صويت في هيكل متململ
يا موجد الأشياء من عدم ويا
محي العام الناخرات المحل
يا عالم الجزئي والكل يا
من جل عن زوج ووالد أو ولي
يا فرد يا قدوس يا من قد علا
عن مشبه ومجسم وعن معطل
يا حي يا قيوم يا الله يا
من عز عن قول المضل المبطل
يا من يجيب دعاء مضطر دعا
باسم الحبيب أجب دعائي واقبل
واغفر ذنوبي وأوف ديني وأوليني
من خيري الدارين كل منوّل
وأنر بنور العلم واكسني
ثوب التقى واكشف حجاب تغفّل
واحفظني بالقرآن من أن تنسني
يا مرتجى حفظ الكتاب المنزّل
واشرح به صدري وأطلعني على
ما فيه من معنى دقيق مشكل
واجمع به شملي ويسرني له
تيسير عبد قد تلا بترتّل
واحرسني من كيد الرجيم ووقني
شر الهوى والنفس واحسن موثلي
واحفظ قواي الخمس ما أبقتني
في هذه الدنيا ليوم ترحلي
وانصر أمير المؤمنين وجازه
بتحقق وتكرم وتفضل
وانصر به الإسلام واحم به الهدى
واكفف به كف العداة الختل
واكفله في الدارين واختم عمره
من بعد طول بالختام الأجمل
واحفظ ولي العهد واصلح حاله
واستره بالستر الجميل المسبل
واعفر له والطف به وتوله
في حالتيه بالحنان المقبل
واختم له بالخير وارفع قدره
وأنله في الفردوس أرفع منزل
واغفر لأشياخي وآبائي وجد
للمسلمين يجود عفو مرسل
واحرس بني وإخوتي ومعارفي
من عض أنياب الزمان المغول
واحسن ختام ابن الخلوف وكن له
واجعله من أهل الرعيل الأول
إني سألتك بالحبيب ومن يسل
باسم الحبيب يعز بكل مؤمل
فأدم صلاتك والسلام عليه ما
دام البقاء لوجهك البر العلي
وعلى النبيين الكرام أولي النهى
وعلى الملائكة الكرام الكمل
وعلى الصحابة والقرابة كلهم
والتابعين لهم بأسمح أمثل
يا نزة الباري وجلت ذاته
عما طرا بمجسم ومعطل
