يا آلَ خيرِ عبادِ اللَّه كلّهمُ

ومَن لهمْ فوق أعناق الورى مِنَنُ

O kin of the best servants of God altogether

And those who have favors upon the necks of all creatures

كم تُثْلَمون بأيدي النّاسِ كلّهِمُ

وكم تُعَرِّسُ فيكمْ دهرَها المِحَنُ

How often you are wronged by the hands of all people

And how often do hardships marry you

وكم يَذودُكُمُ عن حقّكمْ حَنَقاً

مُمَلّأُ الصَّدْرِ بالأحقادِ مُضطغِنُ

And how often does one filled with hatred and grudges

Prevent you from your right out of anger

إنّ الّذين نَضَوْا عنكمْ تُراثَكمُ

لم يَغبنوكمْ ولكنْ دينَهمْ غَبَنوا

Indeed, those who inherited your inheritance from you

Did not cheat you, but cheated their own religion

باعوا الجِنانَ بدارٍ لا بقاءَ لها

وَليسَ للَّه فيما باعه ثمنُ

They sold paradise for an abode with no permanence

And God has no price for what they sold

أُحِبُّكمْ والّذي صلّى الجميعُ له

عند البناءِ الّذي تُهدى له البُدُنُ

I love you and the one to whom all prayed

At the building to which bodies are gifted

وَأَرتَجيكمْ لما بعد المماتِ إذا

وارى عن النّاس جَمْعاً أعظمٌ جُبُنُ

And I hope for you after death when

Most people conceal themselves from others out of cowardice

وإنْ يَضِلَّ أُناسٌ عن سبيلهِمُ

فليس لِي غيرُ ما أنتمْ به سَنَنُ

And if some people stray from their path

I have no other course but what you have set as precedent

وَما أُبالِي إذا ما كنتُمُ وَضَحاً

لناظِرَيَّ أضاء الخلقُ أم دَجَنوا

And I do not care if when I am evident

To my observers, the creation shone or turned gloomy

وَأَنتمُ يوم أرمِي ساعدي ويدي

وأنتُمُ يَوم يرميني العِدا الجُنَنُ

You are there on the day I hurl my arms and hands

And you are there on the day the insane hurl me into madness
