يا ذا الَّذي أَنزَلَ بي

يا ذا الَّذي أَنزَلَ بي

حاجَتَهُ دونَ الأُمَم

حاجَتَهُ دونَ الأُمَم

O you who have brought before me

your need, rather than before all mankind,

لا تُطرِني بِلَفظَةٍ

لا تُطرِني بِلَفظَةٍ

مِن أَجلِها حَتّى تَتِم

مِن أَجلِها حَتّى تَتِم

do not extol me with a single word

on its account until it is fulfilled.

فَلَستُ مِمَّن يَرتَضي

فَلَستُ مِمَّن يَرتَضي

مِنَ المَعاصي بِالتُهَم

مِنَ المَعاصي بِالتُهَم

For I am not one to be content

with mere accusations where sins are concerned.
